About

One app for your whole boat - and everyone aboard. Look at your phone after a season of boating: a chartplotter app, a tide app, a radar app, an anchor alarm, a notes app full of part numbers, and a group chat that dies when you leave the marina. Seaglass replaces the stack - and works where the water is, which is exactly where everything else stops working. THE CHART - Live NOAA charts with your position, routes with per-leg ETAs, waypoints - Animated weather radar, wind particles, tides you can scrub past to forecast - Downloadable offline region packs - charts AND aerial photography stored on your device, with depth contours that work with no signal - Shore mode: dinghy docks, fuel, groceries, customs - with distance and bearing from the boat - Night vision mode end to end, so the helm stays dark-adapted ANCHOR WATCH THAT REFUSES TO LIE Mark the bow, set your swing ring, sleep. If the boat drags: siren plus a spoken "Dragging anchor" - on every phone aboard, over the boat's own wifi, no internet required. If GPS degrades to where the app can't PROVE you're holding, it declares itself BLIND and sounds. And with your permission it can alert nearby boats that you're dragging - with your boat's photo so they know exactly who to fend off. THE BOAT IS THE NETWORK Every device aboard joins the boat's own encrypted local network. No internet, no subscription. Crew chat, foredeck-to-helm intercom, shared alarms - and at the dinghy dock, trade offline chart packs and downloaded music with the boat two moorings over, phone to phone. THE SHIPYARD Blog-style maintenance logs with all the photos a real job needs. Add a part number and Seaglass shows current retailer prices, cheapest first. Every engine gets its own service book, due on hours or calendar. Trips log themselves and export as GPX. THE CABIN A real games suite built for a family playing together over the boat's network: a shared block-building island world, tilt-to-steer racing, regulation cornhole with honest physics, chess with a bot or a crewmate, ten card games, and a kids mode with no store, no strangers, no purchases. Leaderboards save who, when, a photo, and a GPS pin - a family logbook that happens to keep score. THE HARBOR A boating community feed with transparency labels instead of dark patterns. Friends can share their position on the water - opt-in on both sides, off means gone. Video uploads and how-tos that live next to your maintenance log. Marketplace classifieds that understand boats. Shared playlists your friends can pull into their own with one tap. WHEN THINGS GO WRONG A MAYDAY card that builds the correct VHF channel 16 script from your real position, one tap to text preset shore contacts your position with a map link, and an opt-in distress alert to nearby Seaglass boats that draws a search area on their charts - one that grows over time using real wind data, the way rescuers actually search. A SAFE NOW button stands everyone down with your own message. Seaglass never contacts the Coast Guard or emergency services - no phone app can - and it says so on every screen. VHF, DSC and EPIRBs remain the real distress tools. HONEST INSTRUMENTS Every number on every screen is a number the app can prove. When GPS goes stale, it says so. When it can't confirm your crew was alerted, it says "sent", not "delivered". On the water, an app that admits what it doesn't know is worth ten that guess. Seaglass assists good seamanship. It is not for navigation - always use official charts and a proper lookout.

What's New in Seaglass Cockpit

Seaglass remembers you now. - The app keeps your settings between launches. The Terms of Use ask once, and your theme, units, blocked list and saved sign-ins stay put. - The Feed and the Media board open on a different set of posts every time, drawn from the whole library instead of only the newest few. - Comments now appear under posts in the Feed, with the poster's picture, and every comment carries its own reactions. - Report and Block are on the Media board and on comments, not just the Feed, and reported content leaves every screen at once. - Editing your profile updates your name everywhere immediately. - Deleting a post now happens on screen straight away. - Photos load properly in the browser version.
