Seahaven Towers Solitaire

Art Cabral designed this one in the 1980s, and its shape has not needed changing since: ten columns of five cards, four small cells above them, every card face-up. The cells are the whole story. Each one parks exactly a single card, and two of the four are already occupied when the deal appears, because the two leftover cards of the pack have to go somewhere. That leaves two free spaces to work with, and how many cards you can shift as a group depends directly on how many of those spaces are still empty. On the columns, building runs downward in a single suit. A five of hearts accepts only the four of hearts. Empty columns accept only Kings, which makes an emptied column both a serious asset and a serious trap: it is rarely worth opening one you cannot fill deliberately. Foundations climb from Ace to King, suit by suit. Fill all four and you are out. Nothing is hidden, so nothing is guesswork. A deal you lose is a deal you misplayed, and you can undo your way back to the exact move where it went wrong.
