Hi, there is a Max Depth option in SeaNav Advanced Settings which defaults to 20m. Change it to All to show all depths and you will then see all the contours and depths greater than 30m. Looking at the Tasman Sea I can see contours out at 4000m and greater. I hope this helps? Fair winds The PocketMariner crew
Good

Hi, SeaNav does not need internet to work. It can download and store all the necessary charts and tides for offline use. The only features that require internet are the internet AIS add-on and live weather. Could you please email us at help@pocketmariner.com so we can understand what was not working for you and help? Best regards The PocketMariner Team

Hi, we are sorry to hear this. All SeaNav’s main navigation features and tools like routes, tracks compass and markers and the Apple Watch SeaNav app are free to use. Our charts are very competitively priced and are not free to us. We would love to hear more about how we could improve SeaNav’s ease of use for you.

Sea nav great for cruising
UKHO Charts at a reasonable price
After testing several alternatives like Navionics and Savvy Navvy, I opted for SeaNav. The interface is intuitive, clear, and free from unnecessary screen clutter.
Charts:
SeaNav's UK charts are based on official UKHO vector charts, allowing you to click on charted objects to access bearing, distance, and other relevant information. The app also offers the ability to overlay Google Maps or satellite images for land areas not covered by UKHO charts, which is a particularly handy feature.
Navigation:
SeaNav provides two primary navigation modes: sailing to a single point or following a predefined route. You can easily reverse the direction of routes, making it simple to reuse the same route for both inbound and outbound journeys.
NMEA Integration:
The app supports NMEA data (including GPS, AIS, and Wind Instruments) via your local network using TCP or UDP network packets. This feature is especially useful for providing speed and location data when using an iPad without built-in GPS.
Wind Instruments:
SeaNav features a side panel that displays both Apparent and True wind information. True wind data can be sourced either via the internet (for an additional charge) or through a local NMEA feed.
AIS (Automatic Identification System):
The app offers two AIS options: internet-based AIS or a local NMEA feed. While the internet option requires connectivity and may introduce slight delays, the local NMEA feed offers more accurate, real-time updates. Note that AIS is only available as an in-app purchase.

Question
Response from developer
Hi, Thanks fory your rating and question. We are hoping to add a Depth watch face for the next release. It will show the current depth (either from NMEA depth sounder or chart depth) and the depth history for the last 30 minutes ( for contour tracking). If you have any other suggestions for the depth display please let us know. The PocketMariner crew
Pas de carte véritable

Very good app / très bonne app
I’ve been using SeaNav for about two years now, it’s a great app and very well suited to my needs on the water (principally inshore along the coasts of the Loire Atlantique and the Morbihan in France. It’s reliable and functional and I’m really happy with it. I can navigate in safety and keep a track of where I have sailed.
