2.5.4
September 26, 2026
We have been working hard to make your marine exploration even better. In this update, we have focused on refining the core technology that powers Shellium to ensure you get the most reliable information possible during your coastal walks. What is new in this version: • Enhanced AI identification accuracy We have significantly upgraded our image recognition models. You will notice much higher precision when identifying unique seashells and mollusks, particularly when photographing specimens in varied lighting or beach conditions. This ensures you receive the most accurate scientific data for every shell you find. • Improved app performance The entire Shellium experience is now smoother and more responsive. We have optimised how the app processes images and retrieves species data, meaning your identification results arrive even faster than before. Whether you are building your collection or researching a new find, the app will now handle your requests with greater efficiency. Thank you for being part of our community of beachcombers and nature enthusiasts. Your feedback is instrumental in helping us refine Shellium, so please do continue to share your thoughts with us. Happy exploring.
