Pick a day on the charts Open the wind, air temp, rain chance, visibility or wave chart and you can now choose today or any of the next five days, the way the tide chart works. Each day runs midnight to midnight, with that day's figures at the top. The score says what it is The big number on the conditions card is now labeled CONDITIONS SCORE, out of 100, so it can't be mistaken for the temperature. The Conditions widget carries the same label. In No boat mode, where the number is the air temperature, it now says AIR TEMP. Ratings that match the water better • Today's row in the 5-day outlook is now named by the hours still ahead, so an early fog hour that has already passed no longer marks the whole day POOR. • Lake and bay wave estimates now look across the wind's whole sweep of open water and at the spot's own water. • On the Great Lakes, a nearby buoy that measures bigger waves than the estimate now counts. • Protected bays, like Clear Lake by Kemah or West Bay at Galveston, are no longer rated on rough water from a forecast point out in the open Gulf. • On inland water, a Wind Advisory or High Wind Warning that NWS issues for the land around a lake now counts toward the rating. • Lakes near the coast check the nearby marine area for warnings when the usual lookup can't reach it. Radar • Where no radar can see the water, the radar screen and the radar tile on the conditions card now shade it grey instead of drawing clear water, and the radar screen says so. • The radar screen's shading now counts Canada's radars near the border. • Clearer messages when radar isn't available. Fixes and polish • "Use my location" stops instead of loading forever on a poor connection. • Search finds more places, like Newport, RI and Kemah. • The tide list names its day after you swipe to tomorrow, and the Tides card no longer shows yesterday's times after midnight. • Better layout at the largest text sizes, and the app's own text size setting now reaches every sheet. • The Hourly widget no longer keeps a sun up after sunset. • An alert can no longer arrive twice from two checks at once, and the same spot no longer shows up twice in your recent spots. • Many smaller fixes to how the app copes when a data source is slow or offline.
