Apparently, this used to be a pretty cool app…something of a “virtual” Seeburg 1000, with what sounds like it was a huge library of the 16 RPM discs.
Not now, though. It’s very dead, seems to have been like this for a while.
Don’t tease, guys…if you haven’t got plans to get the app running once more, just take it off the App Store.

Doesn’t work
I was excited to try because I love streema.com/radios/play/Seeburg but this app just spins.
So long Seeburg app, nice knowing ya. 👋
App stopped working a long time ago. Apple has reported (Apr 2022) publicly that they will be REMOVING apps that have never been updated , or never updated in the last 3 yrs. So, GOODBYE Seeburg1000 app.
Great app, when it worked
I loved finding this app following a YouTube review of the original department store mechanism, but it no longer loads any music. Possibly an incompatibility with an iOS update? Hopefully the developers can fix it.
Does not play.
Disappointed that it doesn’t seem to work for me. Just looks like it buffers endlessly and doesn’t connect.

This music reminds me of the AM radio my parents listened to in the early 70s, before computers and the Neo-liberals ruined everything.

Was fantastic, now does not work.

Update on 12/3/2020 - for the last several days the app doesn’t really seem to work - just spins on the UI like it’s trying to connect to a stream but never succeeds. Going to the website, it seems to be working there ... so not sure what’s going on. Uninstalled and reinstalled app ... no joy.

No support
Well it was fun while it lasted. Used to work just fine quite enjoyable but stopped sorking for me. Zero streaming happening here. App support nonexistent, just links to a garbage website. I guess the fun is over.
Best music in the world - but some technical issues
A few technical issues:
1. Doesn’t work on iOS 14.
2. After pausing the music, you have to completely close the app, then re-open it, to get the music playing again.

Love this app !
I find my self listening to this app way more than I ever thought I would ! :-). The only thing I wish, is that the app was available on the Apple TV 4 and the Mac Pro. I realize on with Mac Pro I can just go the website and stream but an app would be more handy. Other that, I give it a 5 stars !
I have an eclectic taste in music ( anything from classical to metal ) and sometimes I just want something peaceful and happy playing in the background

Cheerful background music for less cheerful times
A nice break from the news during the COVID-19 outbreak. May just become a semi permanent addition to our household! I’ve had this app for ages and always enjoyed the odd time I put it on. Great for working or studying too because there are very few lyrics to distract.
Perfect mid-century background music
This is relaxed, beautiful music. Don Draper would hear this at an expensive restaurant in 1955. Perfect for background noise while you chat or work.
Brilliant background music app
The app streams recordings of the background music discs that were played on the Seeburg bgm player back in the day. I do love a bit of cheesy retro music! The app works as it should and is very easy to use. No intrusive adverts. Just stick it on and chill out to the music of a past era.
Beyond Kitsch
This app simply streams music from a popular 1960’s BGM system. It’s wonderfully kitsch, you can hear the pops and crackles of the vinyl records the machine used. Stick it on in the car or at home when you are eating your dinner and be transported to an all together more sophisticated and elegant time 😉

The Seeburg 1000 is so cool..I want to go to Rob and Laura Petrie’s house and play charades with Millie and Jerry and enjoy a highball while we all light up a refreshing Kent..
