Meh.

Thanks for your feedback. Seismometer uses highly sensitive phone motion sensors calibrated with science-based and official reference values, so even very small vibrations can register when a device appears still. For the most accurate results, the phone should be placed flat on the floor (be aware that even wooden floors can transmit vibrations) and left completely untouched, ideally while charging. We’re continuing to refine sensitivity handling to make readings more intuitive in everyday use.
Good but drains battery fast
Pls add Richter scale.
Helps a lot after Bangkok earthquake
It was great, but always kept sending me a two magnitude earthquake
Response from developer
Thank you very much for your rating! Seems there is slight movement of the surface you have it on. Try the floor. Movements are defined from each scale in the form of acceleration.
Why
Response from developer
Hello there. It is clearly stated that the free Seismometer app is intended to be used as an instrument of visualizing movement and has live alerts according to 4 types of major earthquake movement scales. I can’t really say what did you expect, expectations can be misleading some times. You could always contact support.
Alarm stuck on
Response from developer
I am truly sorry to hear you encountered an issue with Seismometer app. Unfortunately your issue is isolated and I can not help you unless you contact Support through the app. Thank you
Works good but notifies you only once at a set time
Response from developer
The notification acts as a reminder to open the app. If the app is not open and monitoring for earthquakes (movements) cannot alarm you about an earthquake. That is why is called Live Monitor.

It doesn’t even work
Last night we got a intensity 4 or a shido 3
It was super terrifying. I thought they were warn or something. all it does is it tests for some reason
Response from developer
Hello, I am really sorry to hear that you were terrified from the earthquake. Was the app monitoring for earthquakes? Did you press the play button after you have set up the intensity and the scale? There is a specific procedure that is outlined in the app’s help and in the app’s website. Please make sure you have done all that and please remember that you can always contact support within the app. Thank you

Did the app was app and running? There is a specific procedure in order to be notified by the app in the event of an earthquake. Have you read the instructions? Please reply through the app in support section.
Richter?
Response from developer
Hello Iulianooo! In case you have not read the FAQ section in Seismometer's website or help within settings, Richter's scale represents magnitude and not intensity movement. To quote the FAQ specific part: "Where is Richter Scale? Answer: Richter scale represents earthquake's magnitude and it can not be measured by using accelerometer and gyroscope. Needs very specific equipment and expensive one. Also magnitude represents the power of an earthquake and it is crucial for scientific purposes only. Intensity movement scales are human oriented and easier to understand and use." As you can understand there is an approximate correlation between magnitude and movement, thus it can not be represented in an app. It will conclude in arbitrary results. Thank you for your rating, although is not helpful. Seismometer is free in order to help as many people as possible.
How to control this I don’t know
Response from developer
Hello there, if there is anything you can not understand or it confuses you, support is here. Within app's settings (little gear button top right) you can contact support and we are happy to help. There is also the website where there is detailed info about everything around Seismometer app. This app is also free as a contribution for the safety of our society.

Hi! Seismometer app provides you information on 4 major scales: Liedu, Shindo, USGS, Mercalli. You just tap on the little button on the right called "Scale", or on the name itself on the center of the screen. Please adjust your rating. You can always contact support by sending an email within app. Thank you! :)
Does not do a thing
Response from developer
Dear Ldwarrior1, Seismometer is not using any internet connection other than to read help. Please test it again. And please send an email again as there is none received by your name "Ldwarrior1". Thank you.
