This app has become complete garbage.

After update I had to delete this app over privacy concerns (app does not need my financial info and search history) and poor search features.
Not useful?
I’m not sure how this app is meant to work. I can’t add anything to it and it only shows campgrounds. It lists pay campgrounds as “free” and I can’t suggest an edit. When you click a location, there is no info other than a phone number. There are three lines at the top right of the screen to click for a menu but nothing shows. This isn’t very useful.

App is total garbage
I used to love this app and used it often to share our driveway with fellow travelers and find places to stay when I was traveling. But lately the app has become so full of bugs that it’s hard to use. Most notably, when someone requests to stay at our camp share I cannot accept the reservation. Even if it was made within the last 15 minutes - it always says that the reservation has expired. So then I have to privately message the person who is requesting to stay and give them all of the details. To make it even more annoying, I ten get emails from Sēkr telling me that a camper is waiting on me because the app will no longer allow me to approve the request. Often I will miss these requests because the app does not notify me of them as they come in which makes me look like a total jerk for not responding. Today I got a notification so when I went into the app, I saw a message that was sent 21 days ago! Ridiculous. And yes, I have all notifications turned on within the app settings and my phone settings. I have emailed Sēkr support 3 times in the past month asking for help to resolve these issues. ZERO response. Not even an autoresponder. That’s not very good customer service for an app I pay $18.99 a year for. Anyways, it used to be great and seeing how there have been no app updates in the last 11 months and their support emails go left unanswered, I’d say skip this app. I’m planning to delete my account but thought I’d at least indulge the annoying pop-up asking me to rate the app before I pull the plug and maybe, just maybe, Sekr customer service will see this review and return my emails.

Love this app
Great app. I’m able to use this all the time to find places to stay overnight. I’m always on the road and this has been a lifesaver.

App never updates my location.
Update- This app has a lot of bugs and after being on it for a couple years I have found it’s mostly useless. Very few people seem to use it, even in places like Florida during the winter. Sadly it’s not worth the $2 a month but I still pay it in hopes that some day they get their act together and maybe it gets better and becomes useful to more people.

Deleting due to privacy
I love the idea of this app, but I’ve had an increase in scammers trying to friend me on social media. My profile shows up in public internet searches and I can’t find a way to turn off that setting. Deleting for now and hope to return in the future if there are more users and better privacy settings.

SOOOOOOO OUTDATED
All the info is outdated by at least a year. CampShare people haven’t responded to requests a single time as most of them haven’t been active on this app for a year or more. Parking spots don’t update as local laws and ordinances change so most of them are illegal now.

Very Good Coverage on Free And Dispersed Camping
Most of the other apps have some listings but it necessary to look at all of the apps. You seem to have the most listings in this category. Well done.
Loving this App!
This app is awesome! Definitely finding much greater variety of spots than other sites. I especially love the listing of Cell Phone strength at locations, brilliant!! Also love their online store with unique products specific to van life, again, brilliant!
Must have for road trips
We use this app on every trip. Excellent format, super easy to use and invaluable to locating all things vanlife.
Great for finding “hidden spots”.

Safety concerns
This app seemed to have a lot of potential for community-building, but safety concerns led me to delete it. Nothing bad happened, but the app had me identify myself as a solo female, and the “near you” feature appeared to show that part of my profile to viewers, which is just a crime waiting to happen. FWIW, nobody else in my region was sharing their location, either, so maybe there aren’t many users near me, or maybe they had the same problem.

Disappointed
The app is a bugged bad. I can’t even make a profile because every time I type my name the screen swipes up and doesn’t let me continue the profile creation. Then the next time I open the app I have access to the Home Screen (with no profile created) so I can’t use any features and everything I click on crashes the app
