I think most of the answers come from your answered questions; I wish I didn’t answer them before seeing my results. The results also seem kind of generic. Quite a few of them were mostly guesses. Everything should be explained from your dna test. I paid $300 for what I think may have been worth $100. It felt more like I went to a fortune teller. Go to a fortune teller and you will see what I mean.

I purchased this years ago under a clear “lifetime” purchase model, in good faith, with the understanding that it included ongoing access to the product as it evolved.
Now the company has introduced major features and locked them behind new subscriptions, effectively redefining what “lifetime” means after the fact.
This may survive on technical terms buried in fine print, but it violates basic consumer trust. If a company needs recurring revenue, they should be honest about it up front — not retroactively change the deal.
I would not recommend supporting businesses that operate this way. If this model had been disclosed at the time of purchase, I would not have bought it.

I paid a small fortune for their lifetime access a few years back. Then they sneakily rebranded and gut all the features. Don't support this unethical, evil company. Just paste your DNA test in ai and get 10x better results.
Like the company but…
This app has not improved at all over the last two years or more. The last app update was a full two years ago. The same bugs I reported years ago still exist. Including, getting logged out and having to sign back in every time I close the app. As others have mentioned, a lot of the pages don’t have a back button.
With AI and the ease of creating mobile apps these days, i’m shocked. I could create a more functional app in half a day of work…

No method to return previous page
The app seems like just a wrapper for the website. The service is great, but until there’s a way to go back to the previous page, it is useless.
App design & performance issues
1- App logs out every time you close it and requires re-login. 2-Doesn’t communicate with key chain to allow storing your login information. 3- The lady video with no sound pops up no matter what you do. It’s not only quite annoying but also confusing for many users as I hear from them. Please delete this feature all together and oblige. 4- How it works also confuses many users. It should only be explained at one area as a menu or submenu that user can choose to watch/read. It is very annoying and for many very confusing to have it as part of every report.
5- There is no “back” button or option available in most areas of the app. This means if you click on a link to go read further details or an article etc, then there is no way to get back to the same page from where you started exploring. Every time you have to forcefully close the app completely and then restart/ log in , and navigate your way back to where you started. This is not only time consuming but frustrating experience. I hope their programmers learn the concept of adding back and forwards links to every page.
6- There was a consumer created “ Genes packs” that were quite helpful. Only God knows why on earth they are not available anymore and you have to start from scratch adding 100s of rs Ids to get the required information as a list.

I have been patiently waiting for improvements and some critical corrections required in the SNPs information. I have emailed multiple times with screenshots and medical references to help the company to make corrections. However, years are passing by without any progress or updates. The only focus is to increase the number of accounts even if the quality of reporting goes down south.
I have had great hopes from this platform but I am gradually losing hope and moving to other better researched platforms / companies.

I love this company and the whole concept, but no more than three stars for this app until they make a way for you to return to the previous page. It’s a pain and frustrating to have to navigate back to where I was from the start page…unless I’m missing where this function is. Does it exist? Can I return to the previous page? If so, PLEASE TELL ME HOW.🙏. Also, it never remembers my login info even though I’ve checked the “Remember me” box every time I log in. My other apps work fine remembering me. Please enable these features!

The app works pretty well but my review mainly pertains to the service itself. It stands out far and above every other similar genetic-based health recommendation service I could find and I therefore highly recommend SelfDecode.
