Works good, but still has issues
Found two issues. I’m trying to sell a vehicle. It would not let me scroll and select the date 1997. The other issue I have seen is the messaging does not seem to be syncing with messenger. I got notifications of messages, but they were not showing up. Open messenger app and could read them there.
Good but…
Happy to see a separate work space for Facebook marketplace but, I cannot communicate effectively when I can’t even read the message from a buyer with the automated responses popping up. Fix that bug please! I can’t easily make them go away so I have to switch back to Messenger to reply. I’ve accidentally hit the wrong message several times and it’s so frustrating!!!

A few improvements needed
The sound when someone messages is weak compared to messenger and so I have missed messages. I went back to using FB messenger to talk to customers. Facebook Marketplace also remembers the groups I post to so I don’t have to manually put in each group each time I post an item. Seller does not remember. The dark mode is harder to see drop down boxes.

Great competitor to eBay - few changes will bring a 4/5
Large viewer base, sold a rug first week for full asking price. Easy service, allows a week for shipping. The payouts can take a while. So definitely not for making a dollar when needed for a bill next week. But great for supplemental income or a reseller side hustle. Will continue to cross list here. Only issue I find is occasional scammers (Venmo scams) and people wanting to pay on a 3rd party site other than utilizing the in system Facebook payment services. 3:5 for the first week.

There’s no need for a separate app for marketplace
It is far superior to have marketplace on one app. Secondly, it has created issues where the sell button disappears from marketplace on the facebook app. The sell button should be left there so those who don’t want to waste time hopping between apps still have the option to use the same app we have for years selling. It also glitches and since I have downloaded seller I can’t post my listings in groups now. It’s really odd but also damaging to my business. If I could go back to about two or three updates ago and undo my facebook update, I would absolutely do it. Also, I shouldn’t have to select a location for where I’m selling the product. I only want to give the location when I’m good and ready to.

Bugs and Glitches
I use Facebook marketplace quite frequently for my job. Often times I have 30 to 40 active listings. When this app became available, I downloaded it, hoping that it would make the process more efficient, but it surely did not. It does a good job of tracking your insights and letting you know what changes to make on your posts, but it comes up short when it comes to translating data changes from this app to Facebook itself in the marketplace shortcut. I tried to update the prices of all of my listings and as soon as I did that, all of the pictures from my listings were removed. That is time and potential sales that I have now lost. I also stopped receiving push notifications on the Facebook messenger app specifically for marketplace inquiries. When I tried to delete the Seller app, I was getting no notifications whatsoever for marketplace and I had dozens of missed messages for people that were interested in my listings. Hopefully Meta can update this and fix these glitches as they’re trying to promote this as a way for business owners and active marketplace sellers to maintain efficiency, but it has costed me hours and potentially thousands of dollars due to these issues.

Critical Bug: Seller Breaks Messenger Push Notifications
Installing Seller caused my Messenger push notifications to stop working I have encountered a serious notification issue after installing and signing in to Seller. Before installing Seller, my Messenger notifications worked normally. After installing Seller, Facebook Marketplace messages started being delivered to Seller with notifications, but Messenger push notifications completely stopped working. Even after I deleted Seller, the problem with Messenger did not go away: Messenger still receives messages normally; However, there are no lock-screen notifications, banners, sounds, or notification badges; The messages only appear after I manually open Messenger, at which point all previously received messages suddenly load. I have already checked and confirmed that my iPhone notification permissions, cellular data access, Background App Refresh, and other relevant settings are all enabled and working correctly. I also deleted Messenger, restarted my iPhone, and reinstalled Messenger, but the problem remains. Notifications from other apps work normally. This strongly suggests that there may be a notification conflict between Seller and Messenger, or that Seller changes the push notification routing associated with the Meta/Facebook account and does not properly restore Messenger notifications after Seller is removed. Please investigate this issue as soon as possible. Seller should not interfere with normal Messenger notifications, and deleting Seller should not leave Messenger unable to receive push notifications.

Great and convenient
This app is a game changer. Fantastic to use. It makes the selling process so much better. I recommend checking the price it suggests to ensure in aligns with what you think and know. Sometimes it is perfect but other times it seemed a little low. But this would be true regardless of what any app would tell you otherwise I would say it has been perfect for me by making it very fast to post. Thanks

Great Concept, Rough Execution
I appreciate the idea of separating the seller’s platform, but the app still glitches. Sometimes the back button doesn’t work at all, and you have to force close the app just to continue. Solid concept, but the navigation issues need fixing.”
Initial review of FB Seller App
Definitely like having a separate seller app, easier to manage messages & listings. Still needs some work though in multiple areas. The most crucial I’ve experienced though no way to go back in a few spots so I have to force quit the app & redo whatever I was working on. Not sure if it’s a glitch or what the exact issue is, but I’ve experienced it multiple times & haven’t used the app that much. Overall I appreciate having it though & feel it’s a useful & beneficial tool. Thank you!

Everything runs fairly smoothly. Easy to interact with customers. But nobody is able to give me a review. Tried everything on my end and best I can figure it’s something to do with the app.

What would make this app. better was for the people that have two Facebook accounts for marketplace where you could have them both open at the same time. Other than that, still trying to get familiar with the app.
Much better than facebook
So glad they made this app you no longer have to navigate through the distracting and annoying Facebook app to get to selling your items.
Easier messaging
Instead of having a ton of messages all throughout your messenger, now you just click on the item and it gives you all the messages from everyone. It’s a lot easier to use this way listing items is about the same although it would be better if they would remember the groups that you posted to like it does on the Facebook app but besides that I’m enjoying that.

Doesn’t let you send a reply like you can if you use messenger to communicate
When I saw that there was an app for marketplace listings you manage and what not, I thought I’d give it a try.
The problem with this app is that once you install it and login, you no longer get notifications going to messenger which means that when you get a notification about something you’re selling and it comes through this app, you can see part of if not the whole message, but it does not give you the ability to reply from the notification from your notification center like you can with Messenger.
I deleted the app thinking that it would fix the problem, but what ended up happening is I would still receive messages, but I would not be getting pushed notifications from messenger. I’m having trouble finding a way to fix and getting it to revert back as if I never installed and logged into this app because I’m wanting to be able to conveniently reply quickly to message inquiries when it comes to something I’m selling or what not. I wish I could call or easily contact Facebook Support or Meta support, but Support is either nonexistent or it’s a lot of hoops to go through or it’s not clear how to contact Facebook or medical support and it’s very frustrating.
I wish restoring settings and the things the way they were so that marketplace message push notifications would continue to come through messenger.
Do not download this app if you sell things on Facebook marketplace and want to be able to reply to your messages quickly and conveniently directly through a push notification without having to open the app to reply.

Notifications
App literally does not send me notifications 25% of the time. My ratings have tanked cause I’ve missed two people at the door. I’ve literally never had this happen with any other app. Like seriously how is this a problem, how can you guys drop the bar so hard. And don’t tell me it’s my phone or Facebook settings, it’s not. I’ve done the research and done all the checks, and everything points to you guys developing a bad app.

A few things I think could be added!
1. Be able to see the clicks per listing on the page where all the listings appear. That way you can see what items are doing the best
2. A way to easily lower the price on the list view of all items. That way you can lower each item easily

Well thought out so far no kinks. So much more convenient than bouncing around in Facebook trying to answer multiple questions at once.

I’ve waited soooo long for a marketplace app cuz I hate Facebook but sell a lot of stuff! It’s easy to use, the only thing is I wish you could search for other items, it’s basically just a selling app, not for buying.
