I have used FB Marketplace before but their new Seller app. Is getting better with every release. Watch out EB.. I am now using this platform as much as possible!!!

I like it so far but it’s missing some features like the auto response to messages.

This app doesn’t stray far from the way marketplace functioned. I hope though that they created this app so that they can improve and make the process more efficient.
Glitchy
There are. Few bugs that need to be worked out. The app doesn’t quickly notify folks(I’m not the only one who has noticed) when they have a message. Sometimes it takes hours or not until you open the app to check. Plus, when I have the option to list in other places, it tells me I have listed in 29 places and can’t list in any more even if I have only listed it in just a few. This keeps me from removing the listing from certain groups and list in different ones.

Really not that useful if you can't browse marketplace within the app. This is just like half of the app of just having Facebook for marketplace selling and buying.
Messages dissapear
In the beginning i thought “Finally, facebook did something useful” Turned out it doesn’t work. Messages often just don’t appear, which makes it absolutely unreliable.

Needs work
The app has potential but it needs work. Opinion from a very active seller who lists and sells daily and has about 200 items listed at all times: I like the overall interface better. But it is way more difficult to list on the seller app because the screens don’t auto scroll/expand while typing so you can’t always see what you are typing. If you try to touch the screen to move to move lower, it jumps around and you lose your place. I also get approx 20 messages a day and I HATE the messages being grouped under the items because I like to keep my inbox clean. I archive all non-serious buyer messages as soon as I respond and only keep messages that I need to follow up in my inbox box so I don’t lose track. (for example - if I need to message someone in the morning to see what time they are coming. I can’t remember who messaged under what item…and I could have messages under 20 items at a time..so in the seller app, I have to open each item to find the person I was messaging, whereas in the current messaging, I just need to tap on their name. I have to go into messenger multiple times a day to clean out my mail so that the seller inbox isn’t jammed full with old messages). Also, I have marked things sold on the seller app, but then the next day they are no longer marked as sold.

Needs work
Cool concept but I’m unable to use seller to post my listings for sale, I have to use the Facebook app. Anytime I try and post an item for sale on seller it messes up the quality of my photos and when I post a set of wheels for sale it keeps deleting my pictures for being duplicates with other listings. I have multiple sets of wheels for sale at a time and none of them are the same time so it needs to do a better job or not be as strict. I dont have any issues with Facebook so I find myself just using Facebook marketplace instead of seller

Im also experiencing being shadow banned and at 0 views. I went from over 850 views to less than 100 in 7 days. I paid for promotion for an item and my live in boyfriends fb doesn’t even show my item. He searched other items I sell, and we saw none of my listing. I am requesting a refund.
