Lost all previous purchases

While I love the magazine the app needs work. It’s slow, the format isn’t particularly user friendly and once my subscription stopped I lost all access to my previous purchases. I didn’t appreciate that given this magazine is not particularly cheap. I think I’ll stick to the print editions instead.

Absolutely love

Selvedge is a high quality textile magazine. Beautiful photography, interesting articles and just what the doctor ordered for this needle worker! There are so few true art magazines for textile/craft/artists. It can be a world of cutesy overdose! This is a magazine to clear your palette and open your eyes to a gorgeous world of skill, artistry and education. Each issue covers a wide range of skills, everything from needlepoint to weaving to fashion design and everything in between. So happy I found this app!

Selvedge

It was a great app, but unfortunately once subscriptions stopped all the magazines I had previous have been cancelled because I did renew my subscription!!!! Not sure if that is fair.

Splendid

How wonderful to have this beautiful publication available on the iPad. I had a question about how to read issues offline, and received help from Exact Editions immediately.

Beautiful

Thank you very much. Totally inspiring and delicious.

Beware!!

Maybe I'm falling into a trap I should have known about!
I paid for a subscription - received the 2 magazine editions within the subscription period and thoroughly enjoyed them.....
I stopped the subscription as 2 editions was going to keep me going for a good while HOWEVER they get wiped from the app and you no longer have access to them!

I wish I'd bought paper copies - money down the drain!!!
Is this what all magazine apps are like?!

Very very disappointed - if I've bought a magazine I expect to have access to it all the time!

Tried the restore existing but that only works if you have a current subscription :-(

Beware of the auto-renewal

The app loads very slowly so I hadn't looked at it for over 3 months. I just got charged A$65 for another year which I didn't want. Pls make sure you turn off the auto-renew as soon as you buy it. Goto AppStore/Featured/Scroll to the bottom and tap on Apple ID/View AppleID/Subscriptions Manage/Turn Off Auto Renewal. It should be defaulted to no auto-renewal.

A great $12 magazine that you do not own.

I have brought the print version of the magazine in the past and brought one digital copy through the newsstand. I am sometimes slow, I did not grasp that you do not get to keep the copy until it was too late and my copy had disappeared. I would not mind spending the $12 if you got to keep it.

Not Yours

Selvedge is a terrific textile magazine, but the e-copies you get with this app are not your. When a new issue is released, you no longer have access to previous issue, and if you unsubscribe you have no access even to the most recent issue that you paid for. If this is how all iPad Newsstand subscriptions work, I won't be using Newsstand.

Pointless!

All you get is a few pages of ads and the content page, you need to fork out an unreasonable amount for any actual reading material.

Awesome!

As an artist and fiber artist Selvedge Magazine has always been of interest to me. Very hard to find at book stores in my neck of the woods. But with this app I have access where ever and whenever. Fashion, Art, Knitting, Weaving, Home Decor... Just to mention a few of the subjects covered within every issue!
Although you can get a wonderful sampling of the current months magazine on their web site this app has so much more. You get access to all the back magazines. Incredible!
The price is in British pounds so when paying in American currency it will be more $$.
If you are like me and you don't like paying that much for a magazine try to think of this as a unique opportunity to access the world of Fashion, Art, Knitting, Weaving, Home Decor.......and so much more!

Inspiring

This magazine is full of gorgeous images, textile history, contemporary textile artists and international exhibit reviews. I have the paper and iPad subscriptions. The iPad version is so convenient.
