What's New in Senny

1.2

August 27, 2026

Senny is on your wrist. Sit or breathe from the watch, with the screen off and your arm down — the whole point of a watch app, and the reason this one exists. A tap starts you, a tap tells you when you're done, and nothing on that screen asks for your attention in between. Your sanctuary, your streak and the day's reading are all there too, and it keeps working with your phone in another room. Mindful minutes go straight to Apple Health. And Senny fits your iPad. Not a phone app stretched to fill the space. The day's passage sits beside your cards instead of behind them, the library gets a proper sidebar, and the sanctuary finally has room to be looked at. Bring a keyboard and the shortcuts are there. Still three cards a day, though — a path, not a menu, whatever the size of the screen. Breathing you can follow with your eyes shut. The inhale is now a small series of taps rather than one, so you can feel how far through it you are instead of guessing. Readings stop repeating themselves. Each week's passages are dealt out so that every one gets its turn before any comes round again. Previously the same reading could land two or three days running, which rather undercut the idea of a daily one. A minute is a real sit. The watch offers one-minute sits, because a minute of deliberate breathing while the kettle boils is a genuine thing to want. It won't move your streak — three minutes still does that — and Senny says so once, without making a thing of it. Also: the calendar and the streak stopped occasionally disagreeing about which days you practiced, and Senny no longer congratulates you on sitting still when you were breathing.
