Not working

This doesn't seem to work on my iPad. Not responding to voice.

Response from developer

Hi, could you check in your iPad's Settings > Privacy > Microphone > check that the switch is green next to Speak Up. This will enable Speak Up to access the microphone. If it is already green, the next thing to check is the microphone sensitivity slider within Speak Up. Open Speak Up, tap on the Settings button (the cog icon in the top left) and check the microphone sensitivity slider isn't all the way to the right hand side. If neither of these fix the problem, please email us at support@sensoryapphouse.com and we'll see what else we can do. Thanks!

Response from developer

Hi, we think the app is finished, but if you have any feature suggestions please feel free to email us: support@sensoryapphouse.com. If you require some help using the app, please see our website: https://www.sensoryapphouse.com/speak-up

The settings button is key

There is a settings button in the upper left hand corner where you can choose colors and set the microphone sensitivity to be low. This is good both as a simple cause and effect app for kids who are just learning to vocalize, and it's also good for teaching students to use a louder voice- or the opposite - a quieter voice. I would like to be able to fine tune he microphone sensitivity even more- on the some of the activities it would be more fun if the patterns registered more instead of hovering at the bottom of the page. A good speech therapy tool to have. My students like their other sensory speak up app too because of the caterpillar they can make grow.

Fun!

Great way to get them talking!

Has possibilities

I figured out how to get colors, but the mic sensitivity setting is not clear. Text based directions would not go amiss. I hope to figure it out as I think this might help both my student who persists in whispering and those groups that get too loud.
