Best sounding saxaphone SIM period! But my tracks i recorded with it are now locked, it crashed before I can open them. The sounds are also stuck on stacatto unless screen recorded, I know the app is outdated but im praying for an update! PLEASE!

The saxophone keeps breaking when I try to use it when i put the saxophone instrument in my song it glitches out and it glitched so bad that I can’t access my songs that have the saxophone.

Exceptional Sound with Some Minor Flaws
A solid 3.5. In my time spent with this app, I can say that I’m impressed with the quality of the samples. The Legato is convincing enough. However there are some minor issues what are a bit of a headache but there are workarounds.
First, When opening a project with the app used as an AU3 in garage band on the iPad, the midi will play staccato until you open the track settings. Then it will play as you’ve intended
Lastly, when exporting a project as an audio file in GarageBand on the iPad, the export will crash…every.single.time. The workaround is to merge the track into a single audio wav file. Which cannot be undone in garage band if you want to export the whole song. The work around for that is to duplicate the project before merging the midi track.
These issues are manageable but also extremely irritating when you are testing mixes and audio levels on other platforms.

Surprising
This is actually quite useful - mainly due to the range of tones and nuances available from the piano-roll; it’s missing the growl but it does well blending notes together and bending between them, some breath effects are attainable and the tenor tone is extremely useable with the included reverb and delay effects - for the price it’s outstanding - I’m pretty sure it was £4.99 but I’ve had it a long time now, happy to see it back up for iOS18 though, I missed it while it was unavailable - thank you guys, grossly underrated in my humble opinion, I love it. 🤷♂️👍

Using an expression pedal made all the difference
Mapped cc2 to my wind controller and the SEX to my expression pedal. After some practice I did get a realistic sax sound. Wish the effects were independent of the wheel but I found a work around when I hosted in Camelot pro.
Please bring this to macOS as a standalone

Good but bad
Love the sound. Love the ease of connectivity, but the shear amount of buggyness is upsetting. you can’t have two tracks of this addon with out it crashing. you can’t play chords, your can’t record a rhythm and then play a non recording rhythm on the same track. it’s just super buggy and lacks a lot of features that budget musicians look for in products.

For the love of all music producers, please UPDATE this app!
App fails to properly load on song export from GarageBand, so custom settings always revert to staccato, making the app worthless for production. If Embertone has no intention of maintaining the app, please sell it off to someone who can.

An incredible-sounding app that will just not export properly when used in auv3 as the sax defaults to staccato, rendering it utterly useless.
It’s so disappointing as otherwise it would be worth twice the price.
Judging by other comments it seems it’s been abandoned, so save your money folks and do not purchase.

Abandonware?
Five years ago, this was a wonderful app. Easy to use and very expressive. Today, some controls such as midi out no longer work, and it appears to be abandonware. Such a pity the developers could not keep up. )-:

Bug found. So if I export song from GarageBand iOS, it seems to place the sax into staccato but I want it in legato. Please fix! The work around is to merge the track into a wave format. But not sure if it’s a gb bug or sensual sax bug.
However my opinion stands. This is a great app and I hope devs keep supporting it.
