Many electric cars can keep their cameras watching while they sit parked. Left on around the clock, that is one of the largest silent drains there is — for a low-mileage driver it can use more energy in a day than actually driving does. This app shows you what that costs, and helps you cut it back without giving up protection when you need it. SEE THE COST, IN NUMBERS YOU FEEL Pick the shape of your car, drag one slider from 24 hours down to whatever suits you, and choose whether to see a day, a week or a month. The figures update as you drag: • The energy you would save • The range that energy is worth • What it saves at your own electricity price • How many extra days of driving it adds up to Everything is computed on your device from your own car and tariff settings. Every default is visible and editable — including the standby draw, which is labelled as the estimate it is rather than presented as a specification. FIND OUT WHICH HOURS ARE ACTUALLY QUIET Guessing at a schedule is how people end up unprotected at the wrong moment. Tell the app when your recorded events happened — type the times in, or hand it screenshots and let it read them — and it plots them by hour and shows you the longest stretch in which nothing has ever been recorded. A window appears from the very first event, and always alongside how much evidence stands behind it. It can only narrow as you add more, never widen, so you can act on it early and refine later. Recognise something harmless? A parking attendant's nightly round, a neighbour coming home — remove it, and it stays removed. SET A REMINDER Choose when the cameras should switch off and when they should come back on. A notification arrives at each end of the window, so it becomes routine rather than something you meant to do. YOUR FOOTAGE NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE Timestamps are read on the device itself. Your images are never uploaded, never stored by us, and never seen by anyone but you. NO ACCOUNT, NO CLOUD, NO CONNECTION TO YOUR CAR There is no sign-up and no server. This app never contacts your vehicle or any vehicle service — it works entirely from what you tell it and what is already on your phone. You create that automation yourself, in Apple's Shortcuts app. THE FINAL CALL IS YOURS The app can see what time events happened. Only you can see how overlooked your parking spot is, how well lit it is, or who else is keeping an eye on it.
