This app (and the company) is DEAD
I tried to set up my old camera system and made the mistake of doing a firmware update. Completely bricked my cloud box. This app and the company are dead, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

The cameras that this app comes with are great. The problem is that the app is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. It hardly ever works and ruins any chance of reliably using the cameras. I hope Apple bans this company.

This app is one of the worst! The camera would be great if the app worked.. so returning camera and getting this app off, they never update or fix any bugs or complaints! Stay away from it!

I bought this at target for $79 I brought it home I hooked it up everything seem to be working fine until it’s shut off I turned it back on the plug was still in everything was still normal it was turning on fine but it would not connect to the app anymore and I’ve had it now for two days and it still will not connect to the app I’ve called customer service I’ve done everything that I can they don’t know nor do I about how or why the camera is not connecting to my iPhone I’m gonna try to return it tomorrow but do not waste your money on this camera I had a camera from 2014 that was similar to this and it worked better #ripoff #dontwasteyourmoney #target

Heads Up
For those who are frustrated with the app crashing, shut off your WIFI when outside the house. I did several test runs today, if u have a weak WIFI signal in a remote location while checking the home camera, the app won’t load. Turn off WIFI & it should be fine. Three stars for now because setup with Ethernet was a PIA. By trial & error, I was finally able to sync it.

Worked ok until.....
I updated my internet to ultra high speed. Come to Find out that the security camera is not supported by the ultra high Internet speeds now we just sits there like a piece of junk unable to hook to the Internet Time to fix this bug I think waste less hunk of junk sitting there

Works on my android Samsung tablet - can't get motion detection to work - app crashes on the iPad which is running iOS 9+

Good but It need one key component
It works fine and I don’t really have issues with anything, but the app and website based viewer could use a multi-viewing tool where multiple camera can viewed simultaneously.
Works fine But...
I’ve had this App for about two years. After a while the camera live feed would not flip to landscape when I turned the phone sideways to see a larger picture. It locks up and crashes every time. I just upgraded to a new IPhone X and it still locking up. Very annoying!!!!!!
Still does not work on iOS 13
Emailed their App support 9/24/19 that it doesn’t work on iOS 13. Their reply was “As of the moment, we are working on an update for the app so it would work on iOS13.”
This app still hasn’t been updated to make it work as of 2/14/20, nearly five months after they said they was working on it. Please update because my camera is just an expensive paperweight.

Best Camera for the Money
I have been using this camera for several years as a security camera. It was easy to set up, takes great video, has sensitivity settings to record on motion detection, and records at night using infrared. The SereneViewer app used for setup and playback is very easy to use. I was shopping to buy a second camera for another house and was surprised by the low ratings this camera has received. Decided to post my own rating for this camera.

I purchased four cameras in April of 2019 from Groupon. Initially they worked very well but would continuously lose the internet connection. By June they wouldn’t connect at all. I tried to contact customer service and they were worthless!! They never get back to you via chat, and over the phone they hang up on you multiple times before you actually get a hold of someone after calling back repeatedly. I had a promo code so I bought four new ones. (When i did speak to someone they said my cameras may be damaged) The new cameras wouldn’t connect at all. At this point I had 8 cameras and PYLE USA/ SERENE LIFE customer service was absolutely garbage. It is not December 2019 and customer service has not helped in any way, shape or form. DO NOT BUY THESE!

Did its job for a little while
I can no longer flip my camera sideways to see an enlarged picture or it freezes and logs me out.
App crashes IOS 13 iPhone **work around**
When viewing the camera you can’t switch between full screen and windowed view. If you tilt your phone the app crashes. A temporary solution for those having this issue, on the Device List screen, tilt you phone then tap the camera you want to view. It will open full screen but will still crash the app if you tilt your phone.

New issue with app
Our camera screen is no longer able to switch to horizontal mode for better viewing on IPhone & then the app crashes when we try. This has been happening for weeks now, so our family is considering having to buy an entirely new camera system. What is the issue here? Why is the app not being properly updated with the Apple software?

This app his not working in iphone 11
works great for us
we have had this app, and cameras, for over a year now... works great for us. The only time we have a problem is if someone inadvertently unplugs a camera.. which has nothing to do with the app. we are very happy with this app.
App not working work iOS 13
After upgrading to iOS13, rotating the iPhone to landscape freezes then crashes the app. Portrait (iPhone straight up works ok)
