Waste of physicians time
Made less than $100 in 5 months but spent quite a chunk of time completing surveys only to be “screened out”, often after spending 20 mins answering questions. Total waste of time.

Complete scam
All you get from sermo is spam emails. The surveys they offer screen you out only after you spend 15 mins filling out the entire thing. They just mine data and dont pay. This is straight up garbage.
Surveys are waste of time - Total lie
These surveys are incredibly frustrating. You go through most of the questions, sometimes up to the very end, only to be excluded from the study without fair reason. For instance, I recently spent 30 minutes on a DLBCL-related survey (which is my area of expertise). The final question asked whether I would be open to follow-up contact and clearly stated that my response would not affect my eligibility. I selected “No,” and was immediately disqualified. That was misleading, if not outright dishonest.
In another case, I spent 15 minutes on a survey before being excluded simply because I declined to share patient information from charts—an entirely reasonable and ethical stance.
In total, I wasted over two hours on these surveys and received absolutely nothing in return. I strongly discourage any physician from participating. They collect valuable insights for free while disregarding your time and professional boundaries.

Very helpful app.
Sermo has been a very helpful app. I enjoy the set up of to learn about different topics and be engaged with peers. I would recommend this app to anyone in the medical field.
Could be improved
I dislike that I don’t get notified when surveys are available. I also don’t like that it offers to “keep logged in,” yet I have to log in every time.

This is a great resource of healthcare providers to interact and contribute to medical research while earning a little extra money. It is very easy to use and the payout is quick.
Great for downtime
I use this app in my free time between time and family between patients and during lunch. I am able to easily make additional income so I am able to feel like I can afford some luxuries like added things with my meals, upgrading seats, tips, delivery fees, gifts, etc. app works Greta and I recommend it to other docs 10/10
