King of surf session logging apps in 2026
This is one of the nicer if not nicest surf apps out there, and it is very unique as well. Has a relaxing vibe and everything functions smoothly and quickly so I can log sessions without wasting tons of time. This allows me to use it regularly as it is enjoyable and intuitive to use. You can tell it was designed by a real surfer to improve upon their previous form of session logging and also someone who knows how to do nice app user interfaces. 5/5+

Feels built by someone who actually surfs
I’ve tried a bunch of surf tracking apps over the years, but Session is the first one that actually feels built by someone who surfs.
What I love most is how easy it is to log a session without turning it into work. Being able to track the spot, conditions, board, and even the friends I surfed with makes it feel more like a real surf journal than just another fitness app.
The condition tracking is especially great because I can finally look back and understand which boards worked best in certain waves instead of relying on memory. The insights over time are surprisingly useful.
Also appreciate that there’s no social media noise or clutter. Just surfing, memories, and progression.

Great app - really intuitive
I've been surfing for years and always wished I had a better way to record my sessions. I used to jot notes in my phone but never kept up with it. Session makes it easy — date, spot, conditions, board, done. Wish I'd had this years ago.
