Cool concept

A neat app but it keeps recommending the same songs and bands over and over even when I say I dislike them. Kinda defeats the purpose of the app.

Appreciate the review! Try switching the DJ to "Surprise Me" mode in settings and increasing the recent song cooldown to 3 days. That'll push it to explore more and repeat songs less. And if you change or add a few more starting artists to your set, it gives the DJ more directions to pull from.

New option would be great

The app in itself is really great, I like the concept.
However, I have a suggestion that could make the app better: instead of having to listen to the whole song, and choose if you like it, you could choose between having to listen to the whole song or to listen to the best part/highlights of the song, and then choosing if you like it with the swipe.

Just shipped with version 1.4! With the new Previews mode you can listen to 30 second highlights from songs and if you have Apple Music, you can add them to a dedicated "Setto Previews" playlist or any other playlist in your library directly from the app. Thanks for the idea!

Apple Music only

Of course it’s only for Apple Music. Not the most clear until you download it. Or read everything about the app in the App Store.

You're going to love this! We just shipped Setto Previews in version 1.4, which lets you use the app without an Apple Music subscription. You'll hear 30 second highlights from songs and can still swipe, discover, and build your own listening receipt. Give it another try!

Brother amazing idea if you could connect your Spotify account. I can’t even try it out because I don’t use apple music! Didn’t want to be that loser that tanks your rating but that would be super cool to give this a try, I’ve been waiting for this kinda of app for 5+ years!

GENIUS!

Since I don’t use Radiooo anymore (they started essentially requiring a payed subscription and account to use.) Setto has officially taken It’s place as the best app in the App Store. I hope it stays the exact way it is now. as a music lover and songwriter this is the best app ever for finding new music similar to any artist you want. I love how you can dial into different styles, and you dont even need an account. it just hooked right up to my Apple Music account
and it plugged right in. Genius. i’ve been looking for something like this for a long time since the automated Radio that is supposed to find similar music is never enough on the big streaming platforms. Thanks!

I Did Find New Music But…

If you are an Spotify user unfortunately this app has no use case for finding music as it only connects through apple music. I do have apple music but i used it when i was in high school and then switched. So it was cooking off my very old playlist. I did find a couple new songs tho. I hope Spotify connect is integrated in the future. Great app and interface for sure 👏

Great App

This app is such a good idea and very well executed !! Only 1 bug so far if you try to open new sets or the left menu the app freezes up on the phone, other than that great experience !!!

Amazing

Opinion: The first app I found to be so great, it compelled me to write a review on the App Store. It learns your taste in music very well and I have never discovered so much music I love in such a short amount of time. This app is very helpful, and I appreciate that it is completely free.

Feedback: While I have an Apple Music subscription, I much prefer to use Spotify. The ability to sync with Spotify would make the app easier to use. I would also like a way to see all of my liked songs per cluster of artists. There are some songs I liked, but never added to library/playlist and so I never got to find them again. The algorithm used to find new music is, in my opinion, the most important part of the app and I believe it was executed excellently.

Hello! Firstly, thank you so much for the five star review. I'm glad to hear that Setto has been recommending amazing music. At the moment, I don't have any immediate plans for Spotify support. However, the button at the bottom right, next to the gear, opens the "Recap" menu which has a history of songs you've liked, skipped and listened through. In the next update, version 1.3, I am expanding recaps, so that might be something to look forward to. Once again, thanks for the review and the 5 stars!

Hello There! Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I really appreciate it. Currently, the easiest way to undo accidental swipes would be to go to settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap the restart swipes button.

The BEST app for Apple Music Song Discovery

This app is a hidden gem

I found this app on reddit and it’s one of the best app i’ve used in so long. it’s amazing and so intuitive. this new 1.2 update just made it better and I don’t know how much better it could get. beautiful!
