Too strict on the SNS request ban
Outside of that app, I do like the concept. But the idiotic choose to autoban asking for SNS has me questioning it’s strictness, or if it’s because they insist you pay to use their app, but it’s not working 100% thankfully. Met 2 amazing people in the app offline. But guess what, it didn’t stop us from keeping in touch outside the app as a result.
It’s an amazing app nonetheless, and to an extent I haven’t noticed scammers on here BUT it can be pretty dead for multiple weeks at a time.

No longer free. Forcing to pay pro version
Used to be able to request chat for free but now theg put a paywall for that too. So now there is only the option to wait and maybe someone messages you. If you dont pay you are stuck waiting. Smh

Buggy app and have to spend money to use
The app is buggy I have to click multiple times to do something. And I thought it was free but I have to spend money so sadly I will have to uninstall and delete my profile. The app doesn’t seem bad but with the constant tapping is to much of a bother

Perfect App For World Travelers
SewaYou is a fantastic app where you can meet new people no matter where you are in the world as long as someone in that part of the world uses the app too. So no matter where you move or travel too you can say hello and meet up in a public safe place and connect. I’ve had some success, and it helps knowing there’s a section in the app where you can tell people when you are available on what day and time so they can reach out on their free time too. It’s super cool. Can’t wait to use it some more.

Garbage
Buggy, started feature rich, over the last 6 months, features have been completely removed (community posting, exchanging beans for 1 day of premium) and most have been locked behind the overpriced premium option (checking profile visitors). As a free user, it’s pointless using it now above its competitors.

Lovely Networking App!
This app facilitates positive and educational social networking. I love the concepts. As someone on the older side, planning to go back to school studying Japanese language, I find this app reassuring and be reminded that there’s no age limit in learning.
Fun and friendly environment
Only downloaded it a few days ago and already met plenty of kind people to practice my languages with. Simple to use!

I wasn’t expecting much English at all, but I was surprised! Overall a great experience, I didn’t need the translate at all.
This app is completely unusable without GPS
I don’t allow any apps to use GPS. You cannot simply put your location into a box you have to let GPS tell the app where you are. I don’t think that’s respectful of my privacy and so it’s unusable for me.
Really nice user interface!
I just downloaded the app and I’m trying out the features. I like the concept of location-based matching for Japanese language partner because it’s a bit of a hassle to schedule a time and location to meet with someone who doesn’t live close to me. And online meetings aren’t as fun as in-person chats over coffee. I’m also really impressed with the UX and UI. As an American, I find that Japanese apps usually don’t put enough effort into designing a nice UX/UI, so this was really a pleasant surprise. I’m excited to see what else the app has to offer and I wish the founder and the app lots of growth and success.

The concept is already great!
The app is already great the way it works! And it has been improving its interface with every new update. It’s getting better with time and the concept of encouraging people to meet in person is a good idea to have the opportunity to actually have proper language exchange and make real long lasting friendships as opposed to just chat conversations in other apps that just end up being forgotten by both users.
Also, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the creator of the app and he’s an incredible entrepreneur that is actively improving this app with every feedback he receives from people actually using the app and wanting to make it better.
Give it a try! And in time this app will also start to get more users in other countries outside of Japan because currently in Japan it is a big hit already!

The app allows you to meet people outside of your country. I have met so many friend.
Sincerely helpful and practical
The app frankly works as expected, and the quality of users is very decent (at least in my experience with Japanese-English partners).
My only missing-star complaints:
- messages occasionally fail to send
- messages written aren’t saved if you switch tabs
- there’s a decent lack of local users outside of Tokyo and NYC it seems, so it seems it’ll be a bit before local meetups will be useful to most users

What I like about the sample is that there are so many native speakers who can help you. I also like how the map feature enables you to find potential partners in a specific area.
