Wonderful Treat
SFJazz at home is a gift for the ears, heart and spirit. I can listen from Boston to some of my favorite artists and learn about some I didn’t know. The sound quality is great even though it’s a stream. Being in Boston, I listen while I’m settling in at the end of a Friday night. I love the new format with the recordings and extras. It is the best bargain in town. Hopefully I will get to the music hall in SanFrancisco but for now I am enjoying listening to the concerts online. Thank you for offering this to us.

SF Jazz at Home
What a beautiful concert! I first heard John Coltrane’s music (A Love Supreme) at midnight, January 1, 1964. It literally changed my life. Watching/hearing the concert on SF Jazz last night continued that experience. SFJazz at Home has been a gift. Thank you.
Over produced
The music is great, but the videos jump around every 10 seconds and it is so distracting. Shots of the whole band should dominate the video.
Snarky
At the least, the content is “Snarky” but very broad spectrum and is JAZZ at it’s best. Keep on doing it JUST LIKE THAT!

Sfjazz! First Rate All the Way!
Sfjazz saved me during Covid when I was sequestered in my home, trying to stay safe and sane. The online concerts were wonderful in every way, and kept me connected to the music community. Now I’m ready to return to sfjazz to watch the shows live as I did before Covid.
Thank you to the entire sfjazz staff for working so hard to keep this level of excellence both live and online, and to provide such a magnificent space for all the very fine musicians. You are all first rate all the way!!!

Roku version: exasperating
This review is for the Roku version because it does NOT allow one to write about their rating. So, after sfJazz launched their app it was and is frustrating to log in because one canNOT use established member login info. One has to “reset” their account to receive an email from the org. Then one is to create a new password (or just input one’s existing password). The existing (old) password will work because the video is actually from Vimeo that sfJazz doesNOT disclose. Vimeo uses the domain .tv which is Tuvalu’s country code that some web hosts block. To get around that, one has to deal with spam from Tuvalu. Sigh. Then the app works, until it doesn’t. I’m a sfJazz member and when trying to watch the Friday Live shows, the app states availability will be on that Saturday with no explanation of why it’s not showing on Friday (that’s what I paid for). Heck this is useless because the Friday performances are viewable on the computer with some browsers.
BTW: I also tried the iOS app and had the same access issues as above.

SF Jazz @ home app has been a great way to watch and listen to some of great music happening in the world of jazz (and other genres)! It’s ridiculously affordable and the videography and sound is top notch. I am so grateful for this affordable and dependable way to stay connected to a wonderful institution and be part of their performances. The app works great - I recommend it to my musician friends all the time! BIG THANKS, SFJazz!
