2.0 version flawed.

The original version was fine, but the new, 2.0 update, constantly stalls and refreshes. This happens on all devises and multiple wifi connections. It is basically unwatchable.

Update 1/2023 Features went wrong on iPad app... SFN app vs ROKU app Internet provider uses

1/2023 - Seems in the last update a few months ago the ipad app in full screen no longer has a rewind/ff/slider bar/pause buttons. Sometimes if you pound the screen it will rewind a small bit. If you minimize, these controls come back. I really miss skipping recipes I'm not interested in or reviewing them on my foodie shows. -If you minimize the screen and then return to full screen on a recording it starts the program all over. -You can no longer pull down the guide and restart a currently played show, only shows prior to the current 1/2 - hour you are in. The TV Roku stick and ultra, does all of the above. I hope with SFN monthly prices increasing to my internet provider that these issues can be resolved sOOn!!! It was such a nice, but a bit more limited than my former Dish programming. Losing features from Dish was ok given the pricing, but now taking them away on SFN iPad app is frustrating and I reduced stars to 3 from 4. Programming has changed a bit, they still have a great variety of mainstream channels not just random odd ones to fill their lineup, provided to my internet provider, Amplex. 1/2022 I have to start, SFN TV programming is so much better than other "big company" satellite packages I have had since I lost my big dish in 1998. If this programmer doesn't get greedy like the satellites, I am in for the long haul. I like the features on the app more than the ROKU version because it allows ability to 15 sec rewind, 15 sec fast forwarding (but only on Picture in Picture, bathroom/snack break pausing while I work on my computer. My TVs are all hooked to ROKU my ISP uses, I miss these features on ROKU and don't get why we can't skip pause/fast forward 15 sec on that only because their remote is too basic. I never use the ROKU mic feature as it doesn't work with SFN searching I never jump between apps without using home button, that button could be 15 sec FF. Even on my aftermarket remote that works with Roku I can't get a 15 sec FF. My other issue is on the SFN app or Roku guides and the reason for 4 stars. It doesn't show epsiode number/ date/info which is helpful as well on saving recordings. I don't care for the date it was recorded or if I am checking my guide to find a show to watch because the title doesn't describe how old the show is. It would save me from watching/recording reruns, finding cooking recipes or DIY how to with episode numbers is much easier than show titles. Also on the guide, the current time in the top corner needs to be bold print or a color that stands out more, my older TVs tend to fade it out. Maybe episode info, original air date, number and current time could all go in the gray area with the show description.

Need Apple TV app

If the app was available on Apple TV I would upgrade to the next package offered. Keeping it for a month but may just cancel it because of that

Apple TV please!

Our internet provider uses this app to provide TV to streaming devices! Can’t pull it up on my Apple TV! πŸ˜”
