Hijacks audiobooks
When it works- this mug and app are great. Unfortunately selecting the start triangle means I can’t listen to my audio book on my phone… it hijacks the audio to communicate with the mug. So strange. This occurs in audible, various library apps, and Apple Books.
Works
App works with the Civexa smart coffee mug. But it doesn’t always update the status of the mug. I hope they improve this app. The mug itself is great if you’re happy with no more than 14 oz. of tea or coffee at a time.
Pleasantly Surprised
The mug looked great on Amazon and when I received it and went to download the
SG MUG app the reviews were so bad I wasn’t even going to take the mug out of the box…
That being said, the mug quickly connected with ease and has operated exactly as advertised with an easy to use interface that offers numerous great features*
So either I’m lucky or perhaps they fixed the app bugs so I would certainly give it a try, as it’s now working perfectly for me ~

Garbage
Not only is the app garbage, but the product itself (self heating cup) is a waste of money. This app consistently told me it was connected to my cup and it was always 123 degrees and at 10 percent charge. The cup itself disagreed. But what can you expect from a Chinese made device with a Bay Area company called “The National Broom Company of California” who developed the app? They have been to court in the past with products sold at Target. My questions are, why is Apple hosting apps from this company? Why is Kohl’s selling products from these companies after Target having the same results but with different products? More government oversight is needed.

The app doesn’t find the mug like other reviews say.
Included instructions just say “power it on and connect the mug”

Needs work
The only saving grace for this app is that it loads and I can technically find the mug, otherwise absolutely worthless and doesn’t function
Tricky at first but connected!
I followed the directions to a T. At first I couldn’t get the app to find and device but I closed the app and reopened it and it found my mug and my Nespresso machine lol so it’s working!
Won’t connect
The app will not detect the mug. Heating function on mug itself works well. Can not get the app to work though.
App and Mug stink!!!
Could not get the SG Mug app to connect to the mug at all. Tried several times, installed, deleted and reinstalled over and over. Found a different app called Mug Link. Mug Link connected and works with the mug. Not fully tested yet. But the Smartgear mug doesn’t sit properly in the coaster so it is not charging. I have to press down on mug. As soon as I let go, it stops charging. Horrible product! I have to line the inside of the coaster with dimes to push the mug up so pin depresses down to charge. Taking this back and will purchase a different and better product.

Let me know when it works
I could not even get connected. Tried for over 20mins. Installing and reinstalling app at least three times. Too much work for something so simple. Love the mug. Don’t have an opinion on app since I cannot use.

Mug cannot be found by app
Downloaded app and it connected to my IPhone. But no matter what I tried the App cannot detect the mug. The mug works . It’s difficult the turn the heat function on but I now know how to. I can adjust the temperature as well. It just so frustrating not being able to use the app . I think it would be easier to adjust and control the mug if they could ever pair together. Also when I take a sip of my coffee the mug shuts off thinking it’s empty. So then I have to start over getting it going. Very disappointed

App is as a good as a Monopoly money!
Don’t waste your real money. App is worthless.
Makes devices unusable
Terrible app, bad connectivity, times out after literally 10 seconds, massively flawed interface, the list does not stop. I will be returning this mug for a refund solely bc this app has made it unusable. Thanks SG!
