Disappointed and Sad

I played the OG Shadowverse since the year it came out and experienced all the bugs, the chaos, etc. and that’s not something that bothers me. What bothers me most is that they threw away a beautiful story with beautiful characters and just decided to make the game purely about battle passes and buying things and this sudden socialization thing with Shadowverse Park (something I find unnecessary). They hold your hand throughout every tutorial and battles are just boring if I’m being frank. Nothing is difficult anymore, nothing is creative. I’m still going to play because I really do love Shadowverse as an IP and I want that nostalgia kick, but they’ve got a long way to go if they want to keep any of their original player base, and that’s assuming they care about us. I’m not going to review bomb it because there are parts of it that are genuinely very good, but it would be crazy of me to say I don’t find a lot of problems with it.

A dumb downed versions of shadowverse

If you played the original you’ll be disappointed in this one, basically there is zero strategy and just meta decks… 9/10 people playing the same deck with the same strategy, the game is all about legendaries now which do too much in a turn, it’s all board wipes each round. Basically you play until round 5 to 10 then using a single card delete all opposing cards, summon 3 warded barrier summons, then super evolve and deal 20 damage to the opposing player winning

Putting any form of creativity in your deck will lose the game as the current balance doesn’t really allow for it as the cards won’t help your legendary

Game plays much faster but is essentially just flipping a coin with pretty colors flashing in front of your eyes

Horrible cosmetic practices

The game itself is f2p. But the cosmetics are predatory FOMO type lootboxes. Summer Eudie and Lilanthum are prime examples, and the Frieren collab was both disgusting.

They also reused sv1 assets, and sold them as an increased proce too.

A disappointment of a follow up

Shadowverse classic was one of my favourite card games ever but this has failed to live up to the original in every aspect. Poor monetisation, uninteresting card designs, slow story roll out. This game feels like an insult to every player of the original game.

Complex in a good way

While at first it seems overwhelming as a game the tutorial and single player missions/puzzles really teach you the game. The fact that there’s all these systems and effects actually make it so you have freedom in creating decks. I’m new but even with my limited cards I have board clears, single target elims, and close outs. Building the deck is the hardest part because there’s so much to choose from but at least you get a free daily pack, events and tournaments to get more card packs and crafting resources. Can’t wait for the new card set because it’ll put me more of an even playing field and according to a guild mate, new card sets come out every two or so months.

This game is fine but I think it’s doing too much. Can we please just have Rage of Bahamut back please?

I had a 1 star,but now I give it 5.no more crashing,good job.just continue with the stories.

New player can’t play

The rank system is hideous, I am new I don’t have basic decks to compete with anyone, didn’t win once I’m beginner rank

Crashes all the time

I sometimes do daily games against my friends and this game literally crashes at least once per match, usually during the mulligan. It is so annoying.

crashing

fix ur game bruh

Worst

Worst game ever opponents decks are so over powered they basically have one shots most of your units and refill their side by one card combo? This card app is pay to win. To be honest it’s like the AI is cheating so hard in this game.

Fix immediately

The game consistently cheats for the cpu by never shuffling their deck but will give you the worst hand ever. Fix this bs

Amazing

Nice game, more than what I expect. I hope this game will develop further.

Imagine your fighting same deck forever

Card game is supposed to be creative. Every person try different strategies, different combinations of cards, and different types of winning. These are what should be ideal card game. But Shadowverse… it’s not. Every people are playing exact same decks. Same legendary, same deck, and same types of players. At first you try your best to beat them. But then in order to win, you have to copy the deck that you read from online, and conform to the norms. If this is the type of game you wanna play, go ahead. It costs your soul
Also, what is the point of making new card pack when deck that you don’t use it is much better? Class has some issues.

Great core game

The core mechanics and gameplay are fun, however its quite a grind to become competitive. Playing daily and doing the practice missions helps learn and get resources, however I believe they should give new players enough resources to build one competitive deck off the start.
