Pretty good, for a start... And for free :)

I downloaded this when I first moved to SH in Dec 2011, and it was a good overview to get me started, and I appreciated the information. For its stated purpose (conference visitors and the like), it is just right.
For new expats, more is required, and good apps are lacking, but you can find apps for AQI and the Metro, and Smart Shanghai. (cNNgo is a great source of info, too.)
