A great v1

Its clear what this synth intends, to make you get creative with envelopes. And it starts well. Its well worth the buy if you want a bit of inspiration, the price is very low for what it is.
Its a simple va style synth, it sounds good, the effects were a little unweildy, that section could get more love.
I’d love to get more envelopes and maybe a wavetable engine, and some more effects. The simple ui is the main draw, if you know synths this thing is no problem.
Oh, and what if you could draw points on each env stage? So during attack you could add a bit of wobble, say.

Dope Synth

So happy with features of this synth! Literally after downloading a bunch of different kinds. Great for sound design. PerfectUI and just a pleasure to use.

Stand alone w/o note hold is pointess

Without note hold capability, the stand-alone mode is rather pointless since one hand is occupied holding a note/s. It’s in the way to do much tweaking on an iPhone 12. Poorly thought out for iPhone. And another I won’t support. They won’t, so I won’t. One star and deleted.

Thanks for your feedback! iOS reserves a small strip of the space on the bottom of the screen for opening its control centre. That said, we do have ways to fine tune this behaviour and we will have it addressed in the next update.

as ios go this is a middle of the road app, especially considering what is available. idea is good: variqble shape lfos, etc but in the end i get a few things out if it considering other availble synths. probably wouln.t have bought it had i been able to try it out first.

Thanks for creating this app I think it’s super dope 👍🏼👍🏼 Feature Request: 1. Can you make it remember piano key size 2. Make the pitch slider slightly wider it’s too thin 3. Arpeggiator would be nice 4: I also wish we had the option to hide the keyboard when using it as an audio unit

Very Interesting!!!

Review revised 5/10/2021: Important! You need to know there is a menu under “SHAPER” in the upper left corner, which contains SAVE PATCH, LOAD PATCH,NEW PATCH, and link to the online manual. I hope this saves somebody from losing some work like I did...
Other than this, Shaper is pretty much a basic analog synth, but with some really interesting possibilities with LFO modulation. AND it looks like every parameter can be MIDI controlled within AUM... NICE!
One important missing function: Shaper needs to be able to lock its metronome to the host app (AUM, etc.); so far I have found no way to do this; I have to manually set Shaper’s BPM to match AUM. This should be addressed.
I have done a lot of interesting experimenting with this one.
Sound quality, filter, FX, all sound very good. I think this will be a fun addition.
