Innovative Sociap Audio App
I had never considered what could be missing for fun interaction, it's Shayk. Social anxiety is a real issue especially after the world experienced Covid-19 on such a debilitatingly large scale. TikTok invades the privacy of everyone, Facebook sells our personal info like the stock market, and Instagram feels phony. So what do we do? We use our beautiful voices to tell stories & jokes, sing songs, and give life lessons with Shayk! I had spent 18 weeks staring at the news as the Covid news got worse. Businesses were closing indefinitely and I missed conversations. The prompts in the app help delve into earnest discussions. It's a ton of fun to engage in the community with an element of almost Mad Libs-esque give and take. I commiserated with other people on their worst date experiences, loved their best dad jokes, told my own worst (unexperienced as of yet)fear of haunted houses, and felt safe in the Shayk community. I don't know how they do it so well but the app never crashes! The experience is exactly what I needed as an outlet to not feel left out of healthy & enjoyable conversations. I still believe in our post-Covid world that I get the opportunity to engage without pressure here!

Incredible platform
I have never seen such an amazing supportive team than SHAYK. They feature creators on all of their platforms. They literally help you grow your content there. The app is easy to use and fun. It’s also different which gives it a fresher feel to how we use social media.
If you are looking for something unique with a positive outlook on being social. I recommend SHAYK App. It’s nice to be in a positive environment with social media.

It’s like your own voice diary!
I was skeptical! Just like you. Well let me tell you, I love the concept of this app, and how user friendly it is. It’s new, and fun. As someone who has always wanted to start a podcast but never did, this is such a great alternative by having my own station. 🙌🏻 Let me tell you the community on this platform is supportive and engaging than most apps.
This app is a great tool especially if you struggle with speaking publicly, as it takes the pressure of being on camera off. For example, if you’re a content creator, and have never spoken in videos this is a great place to start to be authentically yourself, and really get confident with your voice.
The only thing I wish, and hopefully it is coming in the future. Hopefully we can look forward to an increase in recording time rather than just the given amount.

Unique & fun
This app has a few use cases for business and fun. Either way, you can either ask or answer questions from others and add background sound effects to your response. You shake your phone to bring up a different question if you don’t have a response for the one you see. There’s nothing like it. If you’ve been invited, you should try it out.

Great App To Start Sharing Your Thoughts Online
I downloaded this app nearly a month ago and I’ve had so much fun answering the prompts and hearing other people’s answers. I’ve even connected with a few new users that share similar interest. I recommend this app if you want to break up the monotony of video-based apps and just have fun with sound. It’s also a great tool to get more confident sharing your thoughts online in a fun and organic way.

The jury’s still out, but I think it’s getting there…
When I first started using the app, I did find it to be a little overwhelming sorting through all of the soundbites, as well as the innumerable sound-bite challenges available on the app. I guess for some people, having a lot of choices is a good thing; but for me, it was just a bit too much. I am willing to stick with it, though: I think, if the creators listen to feedback from the users (which I think they already do) some tweaks to the user interface and may be different features may improve the user experience for everyone. I think that social media apps that use voice have a lot of potential, and I hope Shayk sticks around to evolve and “shayk” things up.

Works really well!
New and upstarting social media platforms often make the mistake of skimping out on coding their platform and making sure it can handle a tentative user-base. That’s not the case with this app, which is impressive given its unique premise. The developers here have done what they set out to do and created a foundation for a new type of socializing, and if or when this app takes off, it’ll be prepared to foster a community that is vocal and vibrant.

This app is primed to become a big deal
I like this app a lot. These days I’m incredulous about any new thing like this but I will say I have been very won over. I warmed up to SHAYK almost immediately.
First and foremost, it is quite mind boggling when one acknowledges that this is really the first app to do what it does. Tweet sized audio clips. It’s like Vine was, but with just audio. How has that not been done yet? It’s so simple.
Outside of that, though, the app itself is very slick and intuitive and aesthetically pleasing. And, man, it is fun. They did a good job with this, and the team itself really exudes an energy of consisting of real people trying to go big with a really good idea. There’s none of that soulless Zuckerbergian techno babble and phoniness that I find so off-putting.
I’m all in with this one. And as Elon continues to burn Twitter to the ground and Facebook circles the drain, I think this app really fills a void I didn’t even realize needed filling and the time is now.

A Cool Way to Tell your thoughts in words.
Honestly, I’m always tired of typing out any random posts and i tend to not show my face often in my content. So it’s nice I can just use my voice to speak my thoughts and say what I wanna say to people with the same interests as me (particular the anime community, which is big at the moment). So thanks again Shayk for inviting me and making a space that’s for everyone~! Including nerds such as myself~!

Great and thoughtful UX UI Design
I’ve tried other audio apps like Clubhouse that often feel impersonal. I’ve tried social media apps where it’s hard to search for basic things (audio history to Twitter spaces). Upon installing, the user had a physical design experience to engaging with the app, literally shaking your phone. It was a joy to see a ton of color, hear quick audio snippits from real people. Recording was really easy to use. I hope more features in the future include as advancing search history by hashtag category or group lists of folks from the leader board and more clearly defined stations. All in all, a great app and must try download.

Pretty Dope App
From what I’ve gathered so far, I’m enjoying Shayk. It’s not any of the other voice apps; it’s definitely setting itself apart. I haven’t experienced any glitches or anything like that, so don’t look at this comment for that.
If you’re one of those people that would rather speak your mind than text it, this app is for you. There’s also no need for green bubbles and admin to tell you when you can and can’t speak.

Like Twitter for listening
This is such a cute little app. You basically record yourself talking about whatever you want, add some sound effects and hashtags, and then release it out into the world. It’s a nice alternative to visual-based social media. I recommend it for anyone who often feels too lazy to craft the perfect tweet or Instagram post.

Works on my ipad as well but...
First off, love the concept. Love the app. Great community all things considered.
Highly recommend.
However, I would like to be able to record up to 1 minute instead of 30 seconds. Also, I would love to be able to grab short clips from my files app or DAW and lode them into Shayk. There is also the tabs down at the bottom of the app and some are unlabeled with VoiceOver however, they are easy enough to figure out.
This all being said, I would definitely recommend it if you like audio based social media. The challenges are nice as well. Nothing extremely vulgar which I appreciate.

My Beta Testing Experience
I honestly love SHAYK! This app is completely different from the other social media apps. As a teacher I honestly believe it helps people with their voice, & speaking, to say the least. As a business owner I believe this also helps you get use to speaking daily, networking, tapping into the true power of your voice, and how powerful our tongue is. I’m only giving this app a 4 because there is always room for improvement no matter how great things are. I would love to see more sounds and backgrounds; and also it was very hard for me to find my private messages at first. Overall i will be using this app consistently! I love it. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to use this app before the rest of the world knows about it ! It’s amazing to be part of startups and i look forward to the success of this company & knowing I’m apart of it too 🫶🏽🙌🏾🙏🏾. GOD BLESS #GRATEFUL !

Interesting New Social Media Concept
I’ve been using SHAYK for a couple days and I must say it’s a very fun and easy app to use. The user interface is amazing and it’s so easy to post your audio clips related to a wide variety of topics. It allows you to keep track of your life through daily recordings and even share interesting ideas or stories in the app. Also hearing other peoples audio recordings are really cool and funny to do, great app and great idea!

I love SHAYK. This app lets one express there feelings and talk it out. I upload on a daily basis and listen to others stories. Has a lot of cool features to add as well after you record. First Time Trying the App!
This will be my first night on the app, and it is actually very enjoyable and such a great idea. For people who don’t absolutely love recording themselves via video this is a great app to create your own “memoir.” I’ve currently created a station just talking about advice that I would give to others. It’s a great way to talk about things you’re interested in or care about and connect with others in a way that’s different from current social media apps!

Genuinely impressive
I wasn’t sure what to think when I first downloaded this app. Im not too into social media but I do dabble. But this app really shed a light on how much I love to talk haha. It was weird getting used to at first, but before I knew it, I was using this app like it was my personal audio diary. Connecting with people is effortless as well. I joined as a tester for Shayk, and even now that my testing time is finished, I will keep enjoying this app.
