Sheaf is a mobile-first app designed for reviewing business documents — contracts, NDAs, term sheets, policies — without uploading them to a third-party service. Open a Word or PDF on your iPhone or iPad, flag the clauses that matter with a long-press, and keep your work on your device wherever you happen to be reviewing it. A 7-day free trial lets you test the full app before committing to a subscription. MOBILE-FIRST, NOT MOBILE-PORTED Sheaf is designed around how a phone actually gets used — short windows, scrolling with a thumb, and very little typing. The capture flow is deliberately minimal: one field for your flag note, and you're done. Add a voice memo, a photo, or more detail later if you want. • Long-press a clause to capture a flag. For Word documents, the selection snaps to the whole paragraph automatically — no precision dragging on a phone. • Four flag kinds — Issue, Risk, Question, Note — to triage clauses at a glance. • Voice memos and photos can attach to any flag — useful when typing on a phone is the wrong tool. • Group documents by Matter to keep clients and projects separated. • Cross-document search across every file in your library. • Annotated PDF export for hand-off. Portable JSON flag export for sharing your review with a colleague who also runs Sheaf. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS UNTIL YOU SHARE IT Sheaf does not have a server. There is no Sheaf account to sign up for, no Sheaf cloud to upload to, no analytics pipeline, and no third-party SDKs phoning home. Your documents, your flags, your voice memos, and your photos live only on your device. • The local database and document store are protected with iOS data-protection class Complete — encrypted at rest, inaccessible while the device is locked. • Face ID / Touch ID app lock is built in. • The original Word or PDF file is never modified. Annotations live in a separate on-device store; the file you imported is byte-identical to the file you can hand back. • The only way your work leaves the iPhone is when YOU tap Share, AirDrop, or Mail.
