About
Everything worth keeping from what you copy, judged, shelved and tagged for you, on your iPhone and your Mac.
Save from any app with the share sheet, then find it again by shelf, tag or what it means.
Passwords and keys are caught on your device and never uploaded.
ONE CARD PER CLIP, NINE SHELVES, ZERO FOLDERS
Every clip becomes one index card: a link shows its picture, code shows code, a photo fills the card. Each is judged keeper or throwaway and filed on one of nine shelves: Read, Ideas, Reference, Prompts, Tools, Code, Skills, People and Shopping. It gets one to three tags that match the ones you already use. Throwaways fade on their own; the good stuff stays. Filter by shelf, type, app or tag.
TODAY
Open Shelfclip and see the day at a glance: how much you copied and how much was filed, what is worth reading next, and the skills you found this week.
READ IT LATER, FOR REAL
Links on the Read shelf open in a clean reader. Long articles get a one-line summary and the three to five points worth remembering, plus one to five stars for how much they are worth your time, with the reason, so the best comes first.
ON YOUR MAC
Shelfclip lives in the menu bar and captures every copy: text, links, images and files. Press ⌘⇧V for the quick panel, search your clips and paste any of them back in a keystroke. Capturing, searching and pasting work offline.
ON YOUR IPHONE
Open Shelfclip and what you copied is saved and filed (iOS asks first; choose Allow in Settings to stop the question). Share a page or a note to Shelfclip from any app, or save the clipboard from the widget, Control Center, the Action Button or Shortcuts. With Pro, sign in with Apple or your email on both devices and they share one library, updated live.
SEARCH BY MEANING
Type "that ryokan in Kyoto" and find "Ryokan in Arashiyama, dinner included". No exact words needed. (Pro)
FOR YOUR AI ASSISTANTS
Shelfclip is an MCP server. Connect Claude Code, Cursor or any assistant that speaks MCP and it can search what you copied. Allow saving and its notes land on their own From agents shelf and expire when it says.
AGENT SKILLS
Copy a link to an Agent Skills repository and Shelfclip lists the skills inside, flags the ones that run scripts, and installs them for the AI tools on your Mac in one step. The Skills window lists, updates and removes every skill on your Mac. On iPhone, send an install to your Mac with a swipe.

• Passwords, API keys, private keys, one-time codes and card numbers are detected on the device, never uploaded, and deleted after an hour.
• Files stay on the device. Pictures sync only on Pro, readable only by you.
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your clips are never used to train AI models.
• Export everything as Markdown or JSON at any time.

What's New in Shelfclip
1.0.1
October 3, 2026
• Open Shelfclip and what you copied is saved — no Paste button. Choose Allow under Settings › Shelfclip › Paste from Other Apps and iOS stops asking. • One screen: your library with search built in. • Every shelf shows how many clips it holds, and Pinned sits right next to All. • A saved article is one page: the gist, the text, then your notes and tags. Pages that can't be shown as text open inside Shelfclip. • Search suggests types, apps and tags before you type. • Fixes: titles and summaries are no longer taken from sites' "are you human?" checks; tag rows no longer overlap.
