Best app I’ve used ever
So many savings and benefits I wouldn’t use any other petrol station thank you Shell

Ich muss sagen, mir gefällt die App sehr gut. Ich habe sie zusammen mit der Shell Recharge RFID Karte das erste mal richtig benutzt und war echt überrascht wie gut das funktioniert hat. Der Ladevorgang wird (fast) live angezeigt und ich kann den Ladevorgang in der App beenden. Die Kosten und Verfügbarkeit werden zuverlässig angezeigt und auch das abrechnen klappt gut - sehr übersichtliche Quittung als PDF mit den Zeiten wann gestartet/beendet wurde. Paypal wird auch unterstützt - Also wirklich gut. Das einzige was ein wenig „stört“ das zwischenzeitlich nach favorisiertem Kraftstoff gefragt wird. Kann man das irgendwie generell festlegen, dass man ausschließlich Elektro lädt und die Vorschläge garnicht mehr kommen ? Also ein Switch „rein elektrisch“ und damit werden die anderen Elemente, die Verbrenner betreffen „versteckt/deaktiviert“? Dankeschön und weiter so :)

Confusing. Unclear. Useless AI help assistant.
I’m not asking for much. Just clear pricing and charging instructions. The app provides neither.
I’m sure the info is there somewhere but after 20 minutes of searching I still don’t know when and if the tariff will increase.

Unable to add payment details or use my EV subscription
Something happened to the Shell app about 10 days ago. I can no longer add a payment method nor can I take advantage of my paid EV subscription. Worse than that, neither the call centre nor the app chat are interested and blame each other. Shell - you need to sort this as you are already losing out to other EV charging providers.
UPDATE 30/07/26: Having received a “sorry to hear this” message from the app developer with a suggestion to “delete and reinstall” the app, it hasn’t solved the issue. Again the app chat function can’t/won’t help. Come on Shell!

The shell ev recharge app was one of the better route planning and charging apps out there.
I personally regret the fact it’s been discontinued for this one. While this is an ok app which I used while I had a petrol car, it really does not compared to the features offered by the ev recharge app.
To the developers, I suggest you integrate the map and route planning feature front the ev recharge app into this shell app.

I find this app infuriating. It’s just one big update loop and only cheated your credit card and not the car. Please Shell - get your your act together !
Works well with pay at pump
Update July 2026 - the level of rewards continues to fall dramatically. The app and rewards no longer make up for higher Shell fuel prices. Pay at the pump still works but that’s not a show-stopper. With oil company profits skyrocketing, cutting user benefits is a real cheapskate move.
It is a convenient way to pay at the pump rather than queue at the till.
Having an email receipt of the transaction is a good memo to fuel purchases. One welcome addition would be the option (must be an option!) to enter car mileage so we can track fuel economy mpg at each refuelling.
Not too worried about the reward point; they are a nice extra and eventually I’ll use them to get some cash off a some fuel.
Could be improved by adding up to date fuel prices for each Shell station.

By the way on my iPad I opened the shell go app for the first time and the screen I so small like an iPhone so is the keyboard there isn’t an app for iPad just iPhone but you can use it on iPad just get a bad experience

What is the point of the pay at pump option if it will not award points via the app??? Stupid stupid stupid.

Wollte eine zweite Ladekarte bestellen, musste aber zuerst die alte Karte von der alten App sperren. Seit dem steht seit zwei Tagen blockiert, aber eine neue bestellen ist immer noch nicht möglich 😡. App deinstalliert und installiert und nun kann ich mich nicht mal mehr anmelden 😡, es kommt immer nur "Hoppla". So eine App zu Programmieren dürfte doch nicht so schwer sein, vorallem wenn es vorher schon eine App gab die wunderbar funktioniert hat 🤦♂️. Erstmal ein Stern, wenn mir geholfen wurde gibt's die restlichen Sterne. Bitte um Hilfe.

It is difficult to be negative as I used to be petrol customer and it all ben fine then.
Now I’m electric convert with shell card provided by BYD with discount
I’ve tried. Many times. Not a discount had ever been applied. No shell points been added (to to mention promotional ones)
Disaster
Getting through layer of petrol/diesel stuff in the app- mysterious adventure
Map is constantly trying to remind you about liquid fuels superiority
Finding charge point at Aldi- impossible in the app. Possible on Apple or Google maps.
Not sure why you guys even bother to be honest.
