Audio got rebuilt. Playback now runs on the phone's own audio engine instead of the browser's, so a lesson keeps playing when you lock the screen, switch apps, or take a call. The lock screen controls, the headphone buttons, and AirPlay all do what they say now. The big one: resuming actually resumes. If you stopped forty minutes into a chapter, that's where you start again, not back at zero. Same for a spot you scrubbed to right before closing the app. Downloads hold up better offline, the sleep timer runs natively so it survives a locked screen, and the player's clock no longer stutters while you listen. Opening the app is smoother too. No blank screen on a cold start, no jump between the splash and the sign in screen, and the top of the screen is one colour instead of a black strip.
