Probably the best mystery shop app
Shepper is a very good mystery shopper app.
It pays well, and is generally easy to use. The additional documents are present when a job is slightly more complicated.

Extremely unhelpful support – avoid wasting your time
I had a mystery shopper survey marked “in review” and it took two weeks of chasing them multiple times to get any response. Support was unhelpful, slow, and kept asking for more info even though the issue wasn’t my fault. In the end after chasing them for TWO WEEKS, I had to be told by support my completed job was rejected because of circumstances beyond my control. Staff don’t follow up, and you’ll waste your time trying to get answers. Very disappointing.

It’s not for the faint hearted!
This work is head work and seriously annoying to do at times!
Expect to feel a lot of pressure whilst undertaking a task I’ve managed a full time wage amongst these mystery shopping task type apps within London over the last 18 months, Shepper bringing in the most for me.
However if you have a steady job or any employment you’re relatively happy being in to not switch to being a mystery shopper it’s very hard work and not always guaranteed.
If you do want to try it and want to top up your income understand that for many of the first tasks it will not feel worth it not if you do it properly you will need to spend time researching and learning the resource materials just to prepare for a task you may need to spend leaning 1hr.
But after a while you will know what’s required and what you have to do and you will just do it just remember to educate yourself on any updates to the literature staying active on the discord will help you do that and ensure you don’t mess up and end up failing a task.
Like any work there are recessions to messing up just here you are a sole trader and carry that burden!
Treat Shepper like a client not an employer as client that has needs and is fussy about its demands being met but will work with you if you show promise and put the effort into what you do… and yes some days you can make a quick £100 in five hours catching better paying tasks in close proximity! Others you can work 10 hrs and make £100!

Not worth it + they don't care about you
Expected durations for tasks quite deflated - you can spend 1h30 on a 45m task. They sometimes drop tasks that require you to do them within a couple hours but where is this same urgency when I ask for my money? Why in 2025 where I can send money across the world instantly am I waiting hours and days for a bank transfer of £20 or something. Not to mention only 3 manual withdrawals in a month, do you guys even want people to do work for you? The best bit is you break your back for them and they don't care to work with you - no leeway anywhere, it is how it is and deal with it, but atleast they're polite huh (most of the time). DONT WASTE YOUR TIME SIGN UP WITH REAL MYSTERY SHOPPING COMPANIES THAT PAY £20 A TASK NOT £7

Not available in my country
I was mad about this app because it wasn’t available in my country. It should be available everywhere.

Awful they made the mistake due to bugs in their app then fail my job. So I wasted my time and money.
So far still on the training
Fairly disappointed, failed two training attempts and the first one was fair, I didn’t write notes and I have bad memory. Second one… I wrote notes on everything down and I got 89.7%… please give people some leniency! It hurts to know I was 0.3% away from success!
Misleading.
I believe that this app has good intentions, and it pays here and there, but their team got very rude with me for no reason, and told me lies about my report to not pay me! Outrageous really.
Love it!
Great app, easy to use and a straight forward way to make money. Also can be reimbursed for food purchases which is helpful to try out different brands or things you may not usually buy in your food shop. The chat function is helpful and responsive.
Too complicated
The tasks are so long winded with too many parts needed compared to other apps such as Roamler which are much easier to make money from.

Love doing the odd job on this app. Some great freebies too ☺️. Support team are good when you need them and I like that they seem to now text you about jobs too incase you have missed them.
Super-human expectations don’t waste your time
I accepted a job that said “20 minutes,” I started screen recording and went about completing the tasks, I was there for 30 minutes I thought hang on a second… and the tasks were not even half way done and I didn’t have another 10-20-or30 minutes available to complete the task. I felt slighted and misled the task advertised “20 minutes” and certain tasks “this is what you need to do” beware that when you accept a task they expect A LOT more from you than originally stated.
I contacted support and said I had to abandon the job, and they said “you must complete the tasks I am afraid” I was actively working for 30 mins and took dozens of photos and completed dozens of “tasks.” It’s all screen recorded I’ll be providing as evidence. But maybe this is a lesson, perhaps I cannot successfully be a Shepper as it’s not economically viable. I may never come back.

Take care
This has been the best way to do mystery shop tasks and I have always been very impressed. However lately there have been technical issues which has resulted in lost data and failure of tasks. Very frustrating and disappointing and there needs to be some back up built into the app to save the information and photos taken to prevent this

Excellent app, been with this app for over 3 years, done well over 13 hundred jobs and so far never had a problem, a great way to get extra spends for holidays, new car and also am able to work around my full time job aswell which is a bonus, the Shepper team are excellent and inapp support are quick to respond and assist you with your needs, thank you Shepper for giving me the chance of being part of your community, look forward to another 3 years.

Great way to earn extra cash
Easy to use app, quick paying with local assignments in your area taking a variety of time to commit. Challenges aren’t too taxing and great extra pocket cash.

This application is simple and straightforward, I believe that quality assurance is a key component in ensuring that the data collection is properly managed. Those that follow the standard expectation of the QA will love this app!
Reading the steps and understanding why and what data is needed are fundamental before stepping out and collecting the data, I believe that Shepper’s explanations are more than adequate for a competent person to understand and then take action on.

Great App
With the Shepper App, you can work under your own terms, fit it around other commitments, set your own schedules and work as much or as little as you want. I also like the fact that you can take Shepper with you wherever you are in the UK, there is bound to be a task nearby. The withdrawal feature is also useful, whereby you are allowed two manual withdrawals of your pay in a month, or the app will pay you automatically at the end of the month, as long as your balance is over £20. Really great app with lots of interesting tasks, both mystery shopping and overt.
