Shield Our Elders: Scam Check

Pause before you reply or pay. Shield Our Elders helps older adults and their families check unexpected messages, screenshots and saved recordings for common scam warning signs. CHOOSE WHAT YOU RECEIVED Paste a message, select a screenshot, import a saved recording, or choose a video. The app reads screenshot text or transcribes recording/video audio before reviewing the words. You can edit the extracted text if something was misread. UNDERSTAND THE WARNING Get a clear warning level, the signs that raised concern, and practical next steps. Results can be read aloud. ASK SOMEONE YOU TRUST Save a trusted person's details and open your phone or messaging app when you want a second opinion. You control whether to call or send a message. LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE Explore short lessons, practice examples, payment-request warning signs and recovery guidance. Adjust text size, contrast, reading speed and motion in Settings. YOUR CONTENT STAYS ON YOUR IPHONE Text and screenshot checks run on your device. Recording transcription requires supported offline English speech recognition; you can type the words instead if it is unavailable. No account is required. Camera and microphone access are used only when you choose Record a video. The app checks content you choose to provide. It does not monitor incoming calls or messages, record live calls, identify callers, verify organizations or guarantee that a request is safe. It can miss scams or flag ordinary messages. Always verify unexpected requests for money, codes or account access through a known number or official app.
