Didn’t know Shikaku existed, hooked in seconds
I came in thinking this was a Sudoku thing — I’d never even heard of Shikaku. Turns out it scratches the same itch, but it’s its own puzzle, not a reskin. What impressed me is that I never read a tutorial. The game taught me the mechanic in about ten seconds and I was just playing.
The tapping and dragging is weirdly satisfying — almost an ASMR thing, closing off one space after another. The logic stays simple enough that I can work it piece by piece without rushing, but the boards build into real complexity as you go. And it just looks good.

And I went through a lot of iterations to get that tapping feel just right, so I'm really glad it landed as satisfying as I hoped. Really appreciate the thoughtful writeup!
