This is a dope app. My xfader only works one way but that’s fine. I hate that I can’t use Bluetooth it’s very delayed. Hope you guys fix that bug and come out with wireless. Make it easier to upload different scratch sounds. Like old school acapelas. Mob deep and stuff like that

Dear lucasruiz07, Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us feedback. According to your stated condition, the Shinobi Fader M requires calibration and it should work both ways. The Bluetooth system itself has latency and delay issue, and is not a bug within the app. NKYC Lab does not recommend users to use Bluetooth for sound output, but to use an adaptor for this purpose. Audio pops on iPad 8th gen
Although there is no issue on my iPhone 11, my iPad 8th gen has audio pops and sometimes the app crashes. It’s a shame since I was ready to order a ‘scratch disk’ but there would be no point now- iPhone 11 is too tiny for my preference but iPad 8th gen doesn’t handle it. I find this odd since my iPad has handled a ridiculous amount more than my iPhone 11. If anything, maybe they shouldn’t be listed as compatible for some older gen devices despite whatever os version etc if there are enough reported issues.

App is great.. but
The app is great to learn and scratch on the go. But it always crashes first time start up. And sometimes when using the fader M it crashes randomly and has clicks and pops on my iPad 6th gen. (Works on my old iPhone SE no problem )
The fader feels amazing but doesn’t stick to anything well without adding additional adhesive.

Don’t waste your money on the vinyl piece that you can buy with the fader. Mine was warped like a potato chip and is pointless anyway

This is worth the $$
What’s cool about this is literally anyone can scratch or learn the fundamentals of it at least. I do wish there were more samples to buy or a way to import from table beats. Fader is smooth and the cut is sharp!

When I scratch the disk backwards when I load dongs it goes to the Home Screen on my iPad. Maybe it is just my iPad
Great app, but will end up costing you a lot
I found this app about a month ago and then found out about the fader that came with it. So, of course I’m stoked on it. The fader with the iPad scratch pad is about 72 bucks. Then, since tariffs shipping is 30 bucks to US. Now, with the addition of more tariffs (not this company’s fault at all) I had to pay another $37. So we’re close to the $140 range for a very inexpensive piece of plastic. when I say inexpensive piece of plastic – this is is durable as the Jesse Dean fidget scratcher.
That doesn’t bother me because it actually works. I’ve yet to receive my disk for the iPad, but – I’m patient. The part that is extremely irritating is all of the app purchases. You would think after you spend quite a bit of money on this one and a 1/4 inch long fader they might give you a promo code or something. Nope, I have to spend eight dollars on the looper, six dollars on the skins and then another seven or eight dollars for video scratch. You can’t do video scratch unless you buy the skins. Also, if you want to add any scratch loops, it’s five bucks for five loops. So, for me to get full functionality out of this app I’m gonna have to throw down at the very least 34 more dollars and if I want extra scratching loops another 25. I’m not cheap. I own hundreds of audio apps. I’ve been beta testing audio app since 2011 and I have no problem with having to throw down some cash. However, I don’t think that after spending close to $150 (not their fault these are tariffs now) on the fader that having to throw down another 50 bones on the app is truly worth it. I have real Turntables i.e. 1200’s and Vestax. The Numatk PTO1 scratch was cheap– with 200 and some dollars worth of mods. However, the Crossfader I put in for 60 bucks is far superior than this very very low grade fader.
It’s just hard to wrap my head around throwing 200 bucks down for a small piece of plastic, a plastic disc, a little larger plastic disc for the iPad, a small bag, and an iOS app. It is fun to be able to scratch on your iPhone and I’m waiting on my iPad disc and hopefully it will be just as fun. However, be aware that you’ve got to pay to play. This isn’t some free app that’s going to be the solution to all your scratching needs and when you do get the fatter, you will be kind of shocked at the quality. Especially, since this is the upgraded version that plugs into your iOS device.
Again, I’m not trying to deter anyone from getting this – I just think that with the purchase of the Fader, they should definitely knock off some of the in app purchase prices. If you’re trying to sell a device that will be based solely on the iOS ecosystem you usually throw in some free in apps or charge far less.

All in-app purchases are completely optional and only serve to enhance or expand your scratch experience. Users who purchased the Shinobi Fader can also activate the Visualiser function by connecting the fader with the device (TRAINING>VISUALISER). Regarding the scratch samples, users can also import their own music or video files into the app. There is also a free preset video sample for users who purchased the Skin and Video Scratch Function (Deck A audio import button>SCRATCH>SHINOBI DJ Video Pack>Shinobi Video Sample). The A button has not worked for a few months the dev keeps putting out updates but doesn’t address this problem. It’s basically useless without the fader button !

Fantastic Concept, Poor Execution

I have been waiting for this type of app for a while now. I watched the YouTube video with the fader attachment and immediately downloaded the app!
I played it for about 15 minutes and was hooked. All the project and new ideas were coming together. So I closed it and went to work on some other music………then I reopened it……..and it crashed.
I tried again…..crash. I tried 2 more times……..crashed. So I deleted it and downloaded it again and IT WORKED!!!……..buuuuut I thought “let’s close it and try”………crash. I even updated it and still…..crash
I love that bug fixes are being addressed and I’d LOVE to give it 5 stars BUUUT if you have to delete an app and redownload it to use it, I think you need to focus on why it’s crashing.
Side Note: if there was a future where it could be utilized with a DAW, fantastic! But let’s start with the crashing

This is one of, if not THE BEST scratch apps on the market. It’s very user friendly and the fader is butter smooth. And the ability to scratch video makes it that much more fun. Great Job

Been on baby scratch app for 10 years plus. It’s outdated and janky but has push to mute function. You have the button for it but only works on fader.
Really want to be able to push mute rather than push to play. I’m useless this way around.

Crashed in less than 5 mins
After a few mints getting a feel for the app I wanted to try to swap out the music. On the next screen all of the icons were grayed out and then the app crashed. It crashes on open every time now.

a great alternative to the $1500 TE TP-7 for me. The portability and ability to scratch recordings from my surroundings, along with the beautiful UI instantly make this my new favorite app right now
