Shiraz Indian Restaurant

The very first Shiraz Indian restaurant was opened in 1996 in Whangarei. The current owner, Jaswant Singh Minhas, is originally from the Punjab region of India, and a chef by trade.He started working at Shiraz when he arrived in New Zealand, juggling shifts alongside his business management studies. He bought that Shiraz Indian restaurant in 1998. At that time it was opposite Forum North, a site that was later turned into a carpark.
