What's New in Shooting Log

0.3.0

October 24, 2026

Ammo inventory (Pro) Add your ammo in Gear with what's on hand and each purchase, pick it when you log an entry, and see how much is left, what it costs per round and which firearms fired it. When the box doesn't match the app, count what's on the shelf and the app corrects it. Maintenance and parts (Pro) Log cleanings, lubrication, inspections, part replacements and repairs on a firearm's page, with the round count filled in from your log. Set reminders like "clean every 500 rounds" or "replace the recoil spring every 5,000 rounds or 2 years." When something's due, you'll see it on Home, on the firearm, in Gear and on your sessions. The Parts list shows how many rounds each part you've changed has on it. Advanced stats (Pro) Malfunctions per 1,000 rounds by firearm, ammo, magazine and type; what your shooting costs, by month and by firearm; group sizes in MOA over time; and drill progress with your best and recent runs. Drill runs Log several timed and scored runs of a drill in one entry, with the best and average shown. Faster forms Every field is a row, and lists like firearm, ammo, range, target and drill open with your recent picks on top and a search box. You can add a new range, target or drill by typing it, and the field you're typing in stays above the keyboard. Malfunctions A new type, Failure to return to battery. You can describe an Other, and pick or add the magazine for any firearm. A firearm's page lists its malfunctions.
