🚀 ShopBidz Has Serious Potential!!My Take as an eBay & Whatnot Seller

I’m giving ShopBidz five stars based on my experience so far…not because it’s perfect, but because I really like the foundation they’re building and the potential I see in it!!
🛍️ What I Like
ShopBidz feels different from simply being another eBay or Whatnot. The experience focuses more on discovering seller storefronts, browsing their BIN listings, upcoming shows and auctions.
I like that approach. It gives sellers an opportunity to build an actual shop and following rather than every product feeling like an isolated listing. Add the current 7% seller fee, which is lower than eBay and Whatnot, and there’s a compelling reason for resellers to give it a chance.
🔧 What Needs Work
It’s a newer platform, and sometimes it shows. I’ve encountered small bugs, UI inconsistencies and missing quality of life features, but nothing major so far.
Profile discovery is one area I’d improve. When viewing another shop’s Followers, buttons say “Follow Back” even when those users aren’t necessarily following me. It should simply say “Follow” when appropriate.
More importantly, profiles should be clickable from Followers/Following lists and live chats. ShopBidz already identifies users as Buyers or Sellers, which I love!!! Now let me tap a seller and visit their storefront lol! That could turn interactions in one shop into discovery, follows and purchases from another.
📲 Sharing Needs an Upgrade
Shared storefronts, listings and live shows currently use ShopBidz’s generic promotional image for the link preview.
Instead, storefront links should show the seller’s cover photo, live show links should show the show thumbnail, and listing links should show the product photo.
Sellers are already sharing ShopBidz with their audiences on social media, in groups and through messages. Give sellers better looking share previews and you’re helping sellers market themselves while simultaneously helping ShopBidz acquire new users.
That’s a win for everybody.

Everything I’ve encountered feels more like new platform growing pains than problems with the concept.
I don’t want ShopBidz to replace eBay or Whatnot..or simply copy them. eBay excels at product search marketplaces, while Whatnot has built a strong live focused shopping ecosystem.
ShopBidz has an opportunity to carve out its own lane by making the seller storefront itself part of discovery, while connecting BIN inventory with live selling.
It doesn’t have their massive audiences yet, but being early is part of what makes it interesting. Sellers can establish their shops, build followers and potentially grow alongside the platform.
There’s plenty to polish, but I really like where this could go!!
That’s exactly why I’m putting LotRush on ShopBidz!
I’ll update this review after some more time has passed. If improvements are made..or if I encounter something that changes my thoughts or opinions about the platform…I’ll update my review accordingly.
If ShopBidz keeps listening to sellers and buyers, fixing the little things as they come along, improving discovery and marketing tools, and most importantly growing its buyer community…
