Hello Ed, if you want close the app you have to press the home button (round button) or swipe up from bottom if you use new devices. If you want temporary tu the app in waiting mode just push the power button once. The app disappear but still live and of course drain battery..

Ok till I started getting more ads
Loved this app till I started getting ad pop ups after every item addition. I do like that I can speak my list and it adds items for me, as I often think of things I need when I can’t really look at my phone

Thank you for your feedback.. ads is the only way to support this free app and if you view the ads completely once time it will never popup for the entire session. If you become member the ads will disappear
