Great at first, but abandoned

This app was one of the first out there that let you use your own API key, so I gladly bought the lifetime purchase. Unfortunately, after adding GPT-4 it appears to have been abandoned. No updates for new models like GPT-4o mini, DALLE, or models from providers other than OpenAI.

Not keeping up

Unfortunate it doesn’t seem to be getting meaningful features, it’s still more or less a way to use apis that were available a year ago.

Love using my own API key!

I loved this app before OpenAI released their own app and even with that release I still prefer it. The ChatGPT-4 support was great.

I would love to be able to generate DALLE images in the app using my own API key so I hope that is on the roadmap!

black screen

started app and there's nothing at all.
it's all app code is
vc.backgroundColor = .black ?

Response from developer

Hi there, I’m really sorry you’re not able to use the app, but there are thousands of people using the app and no one has reported a bug like this so I’m not sure what’s happening. I’d love to see if we can get this fixed, would you mind writing an email to joe@redpanda.club for support and I’ll try to help?

Awesome!

Such a slick way to harness ChatGPT - awesome!

Love this app

Does the job amazing and has an awesome icon!

Supports Siri

This is the first ChatGPT app that supports Siri Shortcuts and it works like magic! Every morning I ask it for a fortune cookie and a piece of wisdom to start my day and it is magical.

Impeccable Organization

Managing tasks, events, and reminders has never been easier. The app's sleek interface allows me to effortlessly organize my schedule, and its smart suggestions ensure I am always one step ahead. The AI Assistant also syncs seamlessly with my other devices, keeping me up-to-date wherever I go.

Bug

Says that I’m not logged into iCloud (when I am) and will not allow past a screen telling me so.

Response from developer

Hi there, This bug is caused by something we discovered with how Apple reports whether a user is logged into iCloud to developers. Do you happen to have iCloud Drive turned off? If so turning on iCloud Drive should let you start using Short Circuit. And if that doesn’t work please email hello@redpanda.club and I will personally try to get that fixed for you.

Not for me

I wasted 10 minutes of my day. Would never pay a subscription for this…good luck to all who do. Not for me.

Fun, easy to use ChatGPT app

I love how this app is so easy to use to get quick answers using ChatGPT. Plus, having the fun personality of “Shorty” is a nice touch compared to other similar apps.

Love this app!

This is by far the easiest way to interact with ChatGPT on iOS and macOS. The subscriptions are good for easily getting started and deciding if this tool is useful to you, but I highly recommend the lifetime unlock using an OpenAI API key. The experience is amazing, the developers are very quick to respond to any questions. I can't ask for more from a great app.

Cute toy

and bugs fixed promptly.

Response from developer

I'm so sorry about the issue you ran into, I promise it was completely unintentional and not what I wanted to happen. There was a bug in versions 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 of Short Circuit which prevented users from sending more than 10 messages, which now should be fixed in version 1.0.3. It was an honest mistake and I'm very confident that Short Circuit should now let you send as many messages as you paid for, but if it still doesn't work please send a support email from the app and I will get this fixed for you or issue a refund, no questions asked.
