Shortify, I love you more every day.
I mean what I say in my headline here – I genuinely thank the app heavens on the daily that this SIMPLE summary app continues to exist, be perfect, free, useful, easy, and flawless every day.
Stopped supporting YouTube
I used to use this app to summarize YouTube videos however, as of the last 2 to 3 months, it seems like the app no longer supports. I have reached out with at least four emails to the developer, asking for assistance and have not got a single response. This is after I have bought 10,000 shorts.
Adding a language option would be great
Good app, I’m often using it to summarize longer news articles. Maybe it’s niche but when summarizing in other languages, it occasionally gives an output in English or the language. Being able to say which language to summarize to would be a huge benefit

Enjoying the ChatGPT level summarisation so far
Was searching on store for ChatGPT or Claude level summariser that works on both YT videos and website text. So far I’ve settled on this because (a) it allows to send the text/video via Sharing and (b) allows to choose length of summary. What’s missing is inability to see previous summaries. Please include this, as often person wants to look at the summary again to refresh memory.

The 100 shorts weren’t applied so I paid for 10 shorts and it still didn’t work.

Summarizes articles very well!
I get so many article links from friends and it’s very hard to keep up with reading all of them. Shortify is so good at summarizing them and getting to the skinny that I can still have meaningful convos about the article! My friends have no idea I didn’t read the full thing
I wish shortify worked on YouTube videos, movies, and tv shows. There is literally too much content to keep up and it’d be great to get summary of the videos so I can keep up with water cooler chats.
Also, I’m looking forward to support for twitter thread summaries!

Helpful reading companion
Shortify is a great little utility that helps me get through those long-winded articles or a quick check to see if something is worth reading. But even if I want to read a full article it provides a nice clean reader interface over ad-filled websites. I also like that it has straightforward pricing and doesn’t collect any data about me. Okay, this review is getting long enough that you’ll need Shortify to summarize it - so just go download it already!
