About
A camera for deciding your own exposure.
Instead of a row of sliders, there is one dial. ISO, shutter speed, exposure compensation, white balance, focus — whichever you pick, your thumb stays in the same place, and every third of a stop clicks back at you. You can change a value by feel while looking at the picture.
EXPOSURE
• AUTO / S (shutter priority) / ISO (ISO priority) / M (manual)
• ISO and shutter dials in thirds of a stop
• Exposure compensation with a marked scale
• A meter needle whenever you are in manual
• Press and hold to lock AE / AF
READOUTS YOU CAN TRUST OUTDOORS
• RGB histogram — sky clips blue first and skin clips red first; a luminance graph shows neither in time
• Zebra stripes where highlights are about to blow
• Focus peaking and a loupe, which appear on their own while you focus manually
• Level, and grids: thirds, golden ratio, square, diagonal
CAPTURE
• HEIF / RAW / RAW+HEIF, with Apple ProRAW on supported phones
• Photos go straight into your photo library — nothing is locked inside the app
• Review the frame full-screen the moment it is taken, with the histogram of the file itself
• Page back through earlier shots the way Photos does
LENSES
An iPhone's aperture is fixed in the glass; no app can change it. So there is no aperture control here — there is a lens picker, with each lens's real ƒ-number printed beneath it. Pinch to switch.
SHOOTING
• Volume buttons fire the shutter
• Self-timer, 3 or 10 seconds
• Front camera
