Plz!

Please add the option for English sign language!

THIS APP IS NOT ASL (tips for reluctant ASL learners)

As a person who is fluent in ASL, I am warning people that this is HSL not ASL. If it is ASL...YIKES! The app is a cool concept, but isn’t functional for ASL. If you want to learn ASL, I would suggest using the app Sign School (it’s free). It gives you topics and lists of words to learn and you can take the “quiz” to test yourself (you can also learn numbers and letters). For spelling use ASL.ms (there is an app, but you have to pay), it is so helpful. You can adjust speed and number of letters!
I’d love to hear about more hearing people learning ASL!!!!

Needs ASL

It may have sign language but I want to learn ASL not HSL

Not worth your time

It’s easy to make me laugh, but this didn’t do it. Error messages and it telling me I smiled when I didn’t only frustrates me.

Needs work

The layout is really good, but I’m afraid to say that it doesn’t really help me when I’m serving dead people and I need to communicate with them. For example, I typed in “my name is Megan and I’ll be your server for tonight”, and all it showed was the open book hand sign. I personally think that it needs work so that people that are of the hearing community who have no idea what they’re learning, can actually learn something. Sure you can use notepads or dry erase markers and boards, but that gets tiring after a while and you just want to be able to talk to them in their way. You can’t do that with a whiteboard. Anyway, my point is, you should have a tutorial video for newcomers, with an ACTUAL person doing the hand signs. Thank you and have a nice day.
