Can’t add tracks

All my tracks are on my iPad but it’s impossible to add them. Waste of time

Vital to My Live Performances

This app has changed the nature of my live performances as a solo artist. I am able to play drum beat tracks in a set list and send midi clock to my looper pedal to sync my loops with the beat tracks. I do three hour sets like this for several years and it has worked flawlessly. My one ask is to make the stop/pause button bigger. I sometimes miss it when I’m playing live. I need to be able to stop the track on a dime, but the button is a little small. I’m using an iPad mini.

Very good in a lot of ways

This is the third backing tracks app I have used and it is by far the best.
It is easy to import a wide range of audio file types from anywhere you can access them, locally and in the cloud.
Creating “sets” of tracks is straightforward, and manipulating playback is just as easy.
The screen layouts are simple and very well organized and the fonts are easy to read, which is essential for my eyes in their advanced age.
Highly recommended.

Ralls and Tempo Changes in 2 or 4 channel mode.

Once this important feature is available, this app will truly be a high end app.

Unfunctional

The only tracks available to add to ShowOne are their demo tracks. I transferred all my tracks to ShowOne file storage using a USB cable and Finder, synced files, and they are not available in show one.

Not true 4 channel audio

Seems like a good app, but please be aware that, as far as I can tell, there isn’t true 4 channel audio.

This is kind of advertised as a 4 channel audio app if you have an interface for it, which I do. But what they really mean is that you can run a stereo backing track while outputting the click to a separate stereo output.

My use case is different. I want the drummer to hear a cue track that includes a recorded click (NOT the ShowOne internal click) along with recorded voice cues and a full stereo mix of the song. Basically I want to run two full stereo tracks side by side with one feed going to drummer and one to FOH. This is how I run tracks in Ableton, and it works well with songs that have backing tracks that aren’t locked precisely to a click, and have some variation in tempo. This is a LOT more songs than you might think.

At first glance this app seems to advertise that it does this, but if you actually try it you soon realize that their advertised “click and cue” separate stereo output track simply routes the internal voice count in and click track to a separate out. Completely useless for me.

Happy to revise this review if I’m wrong and just haven’t figured out how to realize my use case, but if that ends up being true I would have to add that the four channel output is VERY poorly documented.

If you just want a stereo output of backing tracks, or want a traditional “DJ split” with two mono tracks ( one click and one tracks) this app seems like it would work great. If you want true 4 channels, this doesn’t provide it. Wish I’d realized that before I dropped like $50 on this.

As always, YMMV.

Response from developer

Hi - we are sorry that the app isn’t serving your needs. We’ve tried to be very clear in our online literature that currently, 4 channel mode does not allow you to add a second stereo track of your own to play at the same time, but allows the main track to play stereo through one output pair for the audience, and clicks, cues and the music to play through the other for musicians to monitor. That being said - what you’re asking for is HIGH on the priority list for future development. We are aware that it is a big limitation of our app. It’s just time consuming and costly for a small indie developer like us. Feel free to write us at support@onezerooneaudio.com to discuss a refund if that’s what you’d like to do.

Really good

Great to work easy to operate

Crashes

Everytime i try to import a track the app crashes.

Let’s you record video from the same phone!

I got this for busking, and I think it will work great for that … but I’m already delighted, because it lets you record video (using whatever app you want) while the audio is still playing from this app. I’ve never been able to get that to work before!

Response from developer

So glad you’ve found ShowOne to be a worthy busking companion! We think it’s perfect for that too :) Thanks for the kind words!

Excellent App

There are many apps for running backing or click tracks, but I like the ability to change tempo by a percentage and NOT change the pitch of the song. I also like having the ability to change the gain of a song when a track is quieter or louder than the other tracks. I have a newer iPad and it’s worked flawless for me in the 6+ months and 30+ gigs I’ve used it for. Hopefully they’ll update the app or add more features, not because it’s needed, I’m curious what they can add!

Expensive

Actually this is exactly what I needed. Create a playlist in fixed order with local mp3 files. Difficult to find in the AppStore somehow. But it is way too expensive for an App that lacks basic usability and quality of life features (cannot select multiple tracks for import, every step, multiple clicks for each and every song) and it looks like a free app from 12 years back.
My honest suggestion when comparing with other apps is 0.99$. Sorry. This is how this app feels.

Click track

Unfortunately this app claims it has an auto click track and stable , I can’t find this function so I’m assuming it doesn’t have this 😞

Purchase only allows 5 songs??

I downloaded the app, paid £8.99 (price at the time) and can only import 5 songs?? Unable to access any online help as well when clicking the support option? All I get is “error establishing a database connection” message?? 🤔

On a positive note I do like the fact that you can change tempo and pitch and for the 5 songs I am allowed to upload it works well!

Not a happy shopper!! 😡

Wont restore my songs

This started out OK, but I didn’t use the App for a little while and when i came back to it, all my songs had gone. Tried ‘restore purchases’. The app tells me they are restored, but when i started reloading the songs it then tells me i have maxed out the free version? I am not on the free version. I paid the extra money. To cap it, I asked for support from the developer and got zero response. Very Frustrating.

Inservible

No me deja importar tracks desde iTunes ni Google drive. Necesito una devolución.

Which version to buy?

This app looks good but I need to have the left and right channels of the headphone socket play separately - which will be essential for most people. I don’t know if the ‘basic’ version allows this or if I require the additional purchase of ‘advanced’. The developers website looks like it has been hacked so getting the answer to this simple question is proving difficult 😔

Useful app with some limitations

I’ve used this for a handful of jazz gigs so far. It does the job but has taken a long time to get the sets ready. Features which would help:
-trim in milliseconds, not just in bars.
-durations shown in the set edit screen (toggle between track and cumulative).
-assistance to balance output volume between tracks. (Doing this solely by ear after a big import is really slow.)

What Happened?

When I first got this app I would have given it 6 stars out of five. However, lately it is becoming more and more useless. The main feature of this app for me was to be able to change the pitch of the song because most tracks are a little too high or too low. You could change the pitch a lot without it sounding weird and garbled up.

Now the slightest change in pitch makes a weird digital garbled noise in the background. I depended on this to play my concerts, and now I am going to have to find something else. It is very frustrating to say the least. I have a $16 app that is worthless.

Response from developer

Hi - nothing has been changed in the time/pitch shift algorithm since we launched the app. The sound quality of pitch-shifted tracks should be identical to what it’s always been. Can you explain more in detail what is happening, and possibly show examples with screen or audio recordings, by sending us an email? We’d like to try and help if we can. Support@onezerooneaudio.com

Solid, convenient

If you could add, loop regions, and midi patch change with the clock out, this thing would be Go To! Thanks

Rubbish

Total crap app don’t bother, I wasted £30 on the app, bloody useless, i don’t suppose he will offer me my money back
