About

Shroud is a calm, privacy-first content blocker that makes Safari faster, cleaner, and quieter. It removes ads, third-party trackers, cookie and consent nags, crypto-miners, and other web clutter — so pages load lighter and you stay focused. Built on Apple's content blocking technology, Shroud is private by design. Rules are compiled by WebKit and applied inside Safari, which means the app never sees the sites you visit. There is no callback, no logging, and nothing collected about your browsing. WHY SHROUD - Set and forget: enable it once in Settings and your web stays clean. - Genuinely private: Shroud never receives or stores your browsing. - Honest by design: no fabricated "ads blocked" counters — just a clear view of what protection is active. WHAT IT BLOCKS - Display ads, banners, and pop-ups - Third-party trackers, analytics, and beacons - Cookie and consent nag screens - Crypto-miners and other web annoyances FOUR CURATED LISTS Shroud ships with bundled protection lists covering ads, trackers, cookie notices, and crypto-miners — over 500 rules, all on device, active the moment you turn on the extension in Settings → Safari → Extensions. PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE Shroud uses publicly licensed community blocklists, with attribution shown in the app. The app makes no network connections and uploads nothing about you. The privacy label is simple: Data Not Collected. One app. One purchase. A calmer web that respects your attention.
