The Bangladeshi word “Shukria” derives its name from the Arabic word “Shakira” meaning “thankful.” Established in 2008 by the Hussain family, Shukria is proud to serve authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine to the community of Peebles, in the Scottish Borders.
