When you send a photo of yourself or post it, have you ever felt a little shy about how big it shows up, filling the whole screen? Shrinking the photo does not help. Social apps and chats stretch every image back up to their standard size, so a shrunken photo comes out rough and blurry. You only wanted to be modest, and it stands out even more. Shy Camera is for exactly that wish: to show your photo small. It places your photo small inside a canvas and turns the whole thing into one image. What gets stretched is the canvas. Eyes, brows and lips stay sharp; only the skin is softened, so it never looks fake. Face detection runs on your device. Brightness, contrast and warmth are on the same screen and work even without a face in the photo. Watermark Add your name or handle so nobody reposts your photo as their own. Adjust size and opacity, drag it anywhere, or tile it over the whole image. A mark in a corner can be cropped away; a tiled one cannot. Blur Trace anything you want to hide: a sign, a nameplate, a person who walked into the shot. Only what you trace gets blurred. Ten strength levels, checked on screen as you go. Compress Make the file smaller for email or web forms with a size limit. Move the quality slider and you see the actual result and its file size right away. ■ Save and share "Save" writes the image where you choose, on this device or in iCloud Drive. "Share" hands it to someone through the iOS share sheet: AirDrop, Mail, Messages and more. ■ Your original photo is never changed No tool ever touches the original. The result is always written as a new image. If you do not like it, the original is still there. The composed image is drawn from scratch, so it carries no location, date or device information.
