Events Regularly Selling More Tickets Than They Can Accommodate

Bought a ticket to the Naarak party during the Pride month, and could not get in because the club was “at capacity” (despite us coming at a reasonable time). Still, they let in people who paid extra at the door (no receipts or anything). Either they have obviously sold more tickets to the event than they could accommodate by the (very reasonable) NYS/NYC law, which is obviously fraud unless they do tell you it is a lottery to begin with, or they violated whatever the capacity rules are for extra cash. Either way, clubs in Berlin selling tickets through RA Guide refund you when and if they turn you away or are qt capacity, but refund you nevertheless. As it stands, the app enables cash grabs, and I just can’t wait for someone to make a legal claim at that.
