Personal Information Collection Platform

A map-ish app obviously needs GPS data for location, yet for an app that’s supposed to be showing you where a local performance may be found it requires you to open an account for the collecting personal information and tracking - why would any personal information need shared or to be tracked to function? No option not to create an account and not have personal information shared. And the extent of collected data differs from what is listed in its policy. This may be suspicious or cause second thought for those sensitive about their interests in such performances and uncomfortable with data collection and harvesting of personal information.
