Great classic game with too high a price

The game is enjoyable. I played the original on PC back in the day. However charging 15$ for a 20yr old game is a little bit much. I appreciate the work feral has done on so many other quality ports, this game is no different, but 10$ would be much more reasonable.

Good game not without flaws

Really enjoying this game, played it many times. Building the tracks is frustrating though, merging tracks or joining tunnels often results in a lack of connection. Build a fishery station and it thinks you trying to build it over water and won’t let you. Despite that it is a very good game and enjoyable.

Brings back great memories

It is just as I remember it! I greatly enjoyed playing this when I was younger, and now I can play it in my golden years!

Great Port, but needs work

Drains battery way too much and makes my phone hot AF!

Meh

I love strategy games but needed to watch the YouTube tutorial just to be able to lay a track because tapping and holding wasn't doing anything basically not intuitive at all

Fun railway simulator

Complex and fun, this gives a lot to focus on building rails, routes and businesses. I wish the track tool was better at explaining why connected depots are unavailable for train routes… many factors can cause this and it typically doesn’t explain which reason applies

Decent game

Decent game for a couple of hours but once you’ve got the basics nailed a little bit repetitive. Each map is the same just clearly a different map but resources are broadly the same. A story mode would be sooo good and the ability to buy up resources I enjoy the buying up of industry of cities to create a demand for a local product to start making some series cash but once you’ve worked that it’s a bit repetitive.

Annoying

For some reason I keep losing money every time my trains stop at a depot. Why does it do this? I quit with somehow -200,000$!

Poor not worth your time if you’re a die hard fan.

This game is lacking basic abilities to convert resources to goods, a poor iteration of the original rail rod tycoon.

Tenders?

I loved this game on PC, so glad it is on here. But can the steam engines have tenders? They just look odd without their fuel tender behind them.

Response from developer

Thanks for installing Sid Meier's Railroads. Our mobile version of the game matches the PC original, which means that there are no tenders attached to the engines. If you need assistance with anything else, please email our support team via support@feralinteractive.com

Игра очень Крутая

Жалко на айфон нету полной версии и оплатить её нельзя толком

How to decide if so little time to?

I know it is understandable that when trying the free trial, I won’t get all the perks, I understand it wouldn’t be better than buying the full game, but I feel as though they could’ve at least given another scenario and the timeframe be extended by 30 years at least, as a free trial at least is a short, one map, one scenario, & little to adjust. I feel as though if said things were to happen, it would help me further contemplate and decide if I should buy the game or not. As the short pacific coast map and short timeframe does not. not like they’re actually gonna listen, I’m just expressing how I feel

Response from developer

The initial installation of Sid Meier's Railroads allows new players to try the first twenty years of a campaign, as stated on the game's store listing. We believe this should be an ample amount of time to get to grips with the gameplay, but have passed your feedback onto the relevant people. There is no requirement to purchase if you do not enjoy the trial. If you have any other queries please email our support team via support@feralinteractive.com and they will be happy to help.

Fun game

Learning curve is quite steep but I am starting to get the hang of this game. I love train games that are currently out BUT they are all about supply and demand from a station. That’s fun but there is the extra dimension (in this game) of actually going out into the big wife world as well. Just wish the Developers would modernise it some more. Why can’t we have Europe added like in the Desktop version guys??

No tutorial

Sadly this game no longer provides a tutorial and unlike other games does not have a pop up advisor to explain as you go. So I have no idea if it is a good game or not.

If you love the original from 2006

Very faithful port of the original one. Basically identical as someone who still occasionally plays the PC version. Controls take a little bit to get used to as it is touch screen. Do try it before you buy.

Great game small world

Love this game, only issue is the world is small. After taking over other barons there really is no “next step” in which I could expand the rail world
